Holy Week Saturday:

The Tomb

Jesus laid in the tomb as it was guarded and sealed with a stone. A day of mourning, silence, and waiting.

Even when it feels still, God is working behind the scenes.

Scripture:
GUARDS PLACED AT TOMB
The chief priests and the Pharisees went to Pilate and requested the tomb be secured by guards to prevent the disciples from stealing the body. Pilate obliged and ordered the stone to be sealed and a guard posted
(Matthew 27:62-66)

THE WOMEN PREPARED
Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome saw Jesus body in the tomb, and quickly went home to prepare spices and perfumes. They rested from work on the Sabbath, and would take the spices to anoint Jesus' body on Sunday morning.
(Mark 16:1, Luke 23:55-56)

3. ALL IS QUIET
The disciples were now without their Lord, and they hid themselves out of fear of the Jewish leaders. Even though Jesus told them He would rise again, they did not understand the prediction. The disciples were afraid, confused, and didn't expect to see Jesus again.
(John 2:2, 20:9,19)
