🚨 REMINDER 🚨
THIS SUNDAY

If you are planning to send your kid to youth camp, sign up day will be May 24th directly after service. In doing this, this is how we will make sure the church is paying your way to camp.

1. How much do I owe to go to camp? I need $40 deposit that will be returned the day the kids go to camp. If for some reason they are no longer able to go, that $40 will stay with the church to absorb some of the cost.

2. Will my kid get spending money? Yes, they will get the $40 back plus we will give $20 and also buy you a shirt the day we arrive.

3. What if I do not sign my kid up on the 24th? You will be responsible for getting registered and paying the full camp fee.

4. Do I have to have my deposit the day of registration at church? Yes! If I do not have your deposit, I will not register your kid and this will result in number 3.

5. Please have these items ready and with you at registration:
Insurance information and physical card for photo, medication list, allergy list, diagnosed medical conditions, any physical restrictions, last date of tetanus shot, and if up to date on vaccinations. We will provide a packing list to you the day of registration.

If there are any other questions please let me know. I’m not being hard or anything, but this is the best way for us to keep it organized and accountable.

🌸🤍 MOTHER’S DAY AT THE LIGHT🤍🌸

We would love for you to celebrate Mother’s Day with us at Living Light Church of God on Sunday, May 10th at 10:45am!🌷💛

•There will be Mother’s Day breakfast served at 9:00am for all the ladies!

We’re excited to celebrate with you this Sunday & no better way to celebrate than being in church to worship the Lord together!

KidFest Recap and photo dump!

Day 1: drove down Thursday and enjoyed a stop at chick-fil-a for some straw building fun. 😂 arrived at cabin and got settled in.

Day 2: cooked a hearty breakfast and drove through roaring forks. We went and rode not one but TWO mountain coasters! 🎢 enjoyed lunch at Cheddars then we headed back to the cabin for a quick swim and then to service Friday night!!! Followed by devotion/recap.

Day 3: quick breakfast at the cabin and then to morning service! Back to the cabin for some downtime and of course we had to hit the pool again! 😂 while swimming we had some visitors walk through for a super close 🐻 encounter!!! Then back to service that evening! Followed by devotion/recap.

Day 4: Packed up and headed for a wonderful breakfast at Sawyers in Pigeon Forge, then we hit the road home!

I want to tell you that these services were more than just something we had to be at, the kids wanted to be there!! They loved every minute of it, from the comedian, the ventriloquist, B-Shoc, the worship, and especially the word!!! So yes our “your” kids had fun but they also were fed spiritually! Even if you can’t see it, I promise seeds were planted and they will flourish! The bonding time we were able to have to build relationships was great! We had conversations and interactions that we wouldn’t normally have in a regular Wednesday or Sunday setting.

Ashley and I say all that to say thank you! Thank you for trusting us with your kids, for allowing us to be their spiritual leaders, their “your” family pastors! We DO NOT take this calling lightly! We love your kids like our own and pray that we continue to see the fruits of our labor through their growth and obedience in Christ!

Thank you to our chaperones because you are our MVPs! We love you all and appreciate your support and work more than words can ever describe!!

KidFest 2026 here we come!!!!

Excited to see what the Lord does on this trip, at this conference and the relationships that are strengthened and created!

Announcements:

Tonight we will be cleaning vans, loading luggage, and prep work for KidFest.

We will also be working on a special project and needs your kids to finish!

We will be leaving between 2-2:30pm tomorrow for KidFest! We are excited and can’t wait to see what the Lord does on this trip!

This Sunday will be family Sunday due to most of us being gone to KidFest.

Mother’s Day Sunday will also be family Sunday.

All parents with kids attending KidFest, we will meet directly after service in the sanctuary! This should be a short meeting and then we encourage you all to support the youth Taco Bar Fundraiser!!
