How should today’s Christians deal with the strife and turmoil currently consuming many parts of our country? We ask ourselves – how could this happen to our America, a supposedly God-fearing country, founded on God’s principles and laws?? Do we live in fear, wondering what is in store for the future and how will this affect you and/or your family? Do you have doubt about your salvation and eternal life in heaven? Creating this doubt is one of the main weapons used by satan in the war against Christians. We must be bold in the Faith!

Ephesians 1:13 states: “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise”.

Ephesians 4:30 States …”ye are sealed unto the Day of Redemption”.
To be sealed means to be totally encapsulated by the Holy Spirit who will guide and protect us in the worst of times - if we allow him!
(read all of Ephesians).

There are many passages confirming a true Christians future but I felt lead to remind us of the everlasting sealing of the Holy Spirit confirming our comfort and security.

For those that may feel you are not truly saved and have not the Holy Spirit within you, do not fear. Study the word of God, particularly the writings of Paul and you will discover the amazing sacrifice that Jesus paid for your sins. Realizing we are sinners is the first step to salvation. We all have taken that first step. Then, miraculously, your love of Jesus will abound within you and you will be changed forever.

I hope this finds you well and excited about your divine future.

5/24/20 Sunday Sermon: "LABOR IN VAIN". M. Anita Stubbs. PLEASE OPEN YOUR BIBLE to Hebrews 4:11 and follow along with me. Paul is warning the believers against falling away from the teachings of Christ. This is vital to us today! (NIV) Heb 4:11. We have much to say about this but it is hard to make it clear to you because you no longer try to understand. 12) In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God's word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! 14) Solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. Heb 6:1 therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death (dead works) and a faith in God…. The Message Bible writes that this repentance from dead works is about "salvation by self-help". No one is able to work their way into heaven nor into God's grace. We must first believe in God's dear son,Jesus, and then trust fully in His grace. Hebrews 4:9-11 there remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. 10) for he that is entered into his rest, he has also ceased from his own works, as God did from his (at creation). 11) let us labour (be diligent) therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief (Disobedience).
We must remember that it's not by our might nor by our power but it's by his Spirit! Psalms 127:1 Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. None of us are capable of doing and being all that life requires. But as Isaiah 30:15 states, "In returning and rest shall be saved…". Please don't think we will accomplish anything according to God's will when we keep doing it our way. Einstein's definition of insanity is: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. We're caught up in this type of behavior, in both our personal experience with Christ and our church life. We need to open our eyes and see Jesus! How else can we be true followers of Him? May God bless us all with a determination to seek His will. Amen

Brothers and Sisters:
How many of us have sinned against the Father so terribly it is difficult to imagine that He would ever accept or forgive us? Think how brokenhearted He must be as he looks at the sin in the world today, particularly the United States, a nation that modeled many of its ordinances and laws after those given by the Father to the nation of Israel!
Yet, because the Father loves each of us, and can not allow sin in his presence, He gave his only begotten Son to pay the ultimate price for our sinful ways so that those who believe and follow him would have ever lasting life. What a loving sacrifice!
As sinful as we might be, would our sins compare to those of Saul of Ta**us? The man whose mission was to hunt down and imprison, torture and murder followers of Christ. I think not. As horrific as his actions were, Jesus stopped Paul (Saul) on the way to Damascus and filled him with the spirit and knowledge of things to come and shared his awesome grace with Paul. Thus Paul became the main Apostle to the Gentiles spreading the Gospel throughout his travels, giving divine instructions for how Christians should live in that day and today.
If Paul’s heart could be changed and his sins forgiven, surely our sins could be erased forever no matter how grievous they may be. We only need to believe in Jesus – that he died, was resurrected and is now at the right hand of the Father. Place your faith in Him and accept His crucifixion and enjoy his peace today. May the Father bless you.

My Brothers and Sisters: Bo Beauchemin (May 02/03 2020)

I hope this finds you all healthy and that you are coping with the current quasi quarantine directions as well as possible. I have been a little concerned about our gathering back together to study the Father’s word. Sunday will be seven weeks since we met for worship. Seven is one of the Father’s number for completion – who knows what next week will bring! I hope you, the members need the fellowship we bring to each other, the ministry we share, the beautiful music that opens our heart to receive the word and the prayers that support our faith. In these perilous times we are living in we need to hold each other up spiritually with the love only a true Christian knows. That love is radiated through us by the Holy Spirit. What a comfort to know we are loved in spite of the many sins we have committed. Nothing in this world can take his love away from those who truly believe in Christ Jesus.
I am constantly amazed at the Father’s love for us and particularly the nation of Israel. Although they have rejected the grace of his son the Messiah, he still has his hand on them and promises to make them whole again which he is now doing. We, the gentile nations, believers in Christ and the Body of Christ are so very blessed to be a part of his plan of salvation. We must never take that for granted.
We should pray:

Our Father, who art in Heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive u for our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the power
And the glory, for ever and ever.
Amen

SUNDAY SERMON 4/26/20. M.Anita Stubbs I miss seeing you all so very much! Some of our Christian friends do check on us weekly and we appreciate each and every call. Mom and I are doing well with the quarantine and hopefully you are too. I'm reminded of what Paul said to his friends and converts in Philippi when he couldn't be with them. (Philippians 1:3-6) "I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day 'till now, being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.".

I have no doubts about your relationship with God. I feel sure that each of you know WHO your God is and that you know HOW to reach out to Him in your time of need. But please don't forget that you have a church that loves you and people that know how to pray and how to reach out to help. The old hymn tells us to "Build our hopes on things eternal. Hold to God's unchanging hand". Please Hold On! This time of separation can't last forever. Let's remember each other and give thanks to God for being in this walk together. I love you all! M. Anita Stubbs
