Y'all go see Pastor E if you're in the Orange area. He's a great preacher and pastor. He's so good he has two churches--Salem UMC in Orange and St. James UMC in Beaumont.

💧 27 BAPTIZED IN ONE POWERFUL AFTERNOON
Salem United Methodist Church in Orange took worship beyond the walls of the church, bringing families and community members together for a special outdoor baptism celebration.

Twenty-seven children and young people — ranging from less than one month old to 18 years old — were baptized during the fifth-Sunday gathering.

Today UMC of the Pines was honored to serve a lunch featuring the best fried chicken in Southeast Texas (Jenny's in Kirbyville) to over 50 students at Lamar University's Wesley Foundation. (We had such a good time we kept forgetting to count.) Thanks to all who contributed and to Pastor Kyle Tremblay for having us. Wesley Foundations provide important and even life-changing ministries on college campuses. Please support them when you can.

Stay alert and connected to your community!

The City of Jasper has implemented a mass notification system to alert citizens to emergencies, weather conditions, road closures, utility issues, community events, burn bans, and more.

This is a voluntary choice, and citizens must sign up to receive alerts at https://jasper-tx.myfreealerts.com/. Citizens will be able to choose which updates they would like to receive.

Citizens can text JasperTX to 38276 to receive emergency alerts only.

This is a new product we have implemented. Please be patient as we continue building this notification system to meet Jasper's citizens' needs. We are excited to have this in place to help notify citizens of any issues or events that may arise.
