A Church for People Who Don't Like Church
So many people go to church, look around, and think, "These people are nothing like me. Their kids must never get into trouble. They live in a completely different world than I do." At Central, we know that everybody's life is messy. Whether you choose to expose all of your mess on Facebook or you put on a mask so that nobody can see your pain, deep down,
we're all at least a little screwed up. Honestly, we don't think that just showing up at church will instantaneously fix the mess, but we do believe that if we get together and take off our masks, we can help each other push our lives toward Jesus. Jesus said, "I have come that they might have LIFE, and that life to the full." At Central, we don't imagine that a "full life" means life without mess - even Jesus lived through pain and sorrow. What we do imagine is building a community of people who help each other find and live the LIFE that Jesus said he came to give us, and we'd love to invite you into it. If you've ever wished for a church that would just shut up and be real, maybe Central's the place for you. If you've ever thought that you would never find a church that would accept you for who you are, how you look, or what you've done in your past, give us a chance to show you what God's love is supposed to look like. If you've been hurt by Christians who showed you anything but unconditional grace and love, we sincerely apologize and hope for the chance to give you a glimpse of the amazing God we've come to know. Perfect people need not apply. We're a mess. You're a mess. Let's just help each other push our messes toward Jesus, and maybe we'll find a glimpse of the full life he came to give.
