It’s wonderful to have a sense of normalcy back at our church this summer with the drive-in service. This marks the second week of gathering this way, and adding a coffee hour made it feel even more welcoming. It’s such a joy to be back together at FLC, even if just for the summer. Members truly enjoyed the camaraderie, shared conversations, and reconnecting with one another.

The drive-in service is so laid-back and welcoming. You can come in your PJs, bring your pet along, or simply relax in the sunshine while enjoying the service. It’s an easy, comfortable way to worship together and be present in the moment.

We’re so happy to share that Child’s First is officially open in our temporary space, and we’re back to serving 47 families in our community again! We were able to retain 19 of our staff members through this transition, which has meant everything to our kiddos and families!! We are continuing to look for a more permanent home for our center. If you have ideas or know of a space, I’d love for you to reach out to [email protected].

We’re also really excited to share that Faith Community Church has generously partnered with us and offered space for our summer school-age program for 2026. Because of that support, 15 children who have grown up at Child’s First will get to spend another summer together!

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our McDonald’s fundraiser this month. We raised over $1,300! Our next fundraiser is June 10th at Red Robin in Janesville. Just a reminder to mention Child’s First when you order, so it gets counted!

We are beyond grateful for all the support, encouragement, and kindness we’ve received -- it truly has carried us through!

Join the community for an Ecumenical Prayer Service: A Call to Compassion and Justice tonight, Thursday, May 28, at 6pm at Asbury United Methodist Church in Janesville. Clergy and leaders from multiple congregations will gather for this special time of prayer, faith, and unity. All are welcome to come as they are and be part of this shared experience of compassion, hope, and community.
