Resonate Church

Resonate Church "Resonating the love and hope of Jesus." The Gospel reinforces all that we do: It’s our motivation for loving God, loving others, and making our city thrive.

Resonate means to be filled with a deep sound and reverberate it out - be filled by the love and hope of Jesus overflow it onto others. Gospel

The Gospel is the good news that we can enjoy a real relationship with God by grace, through faith in the completed work of Jesus Christ on the cross and His resurrection, rather than through our own accomplishments. It transforms us from the inside out s

o that we increasingly take joy in showing others the same grace that God has showed us. It frees us from our desire to live for ourselves so that we instead live to glorify God and make Him known. We no longer have to succeed or look for approval from others since we are completely accepted in Christ. It satisfies our deepest needs for security so we become generous with our abilities and resources. We therefore have a new identity that is reflected in how we relate to God, to one another, and to our city. The Gospel is most clearly developed in God’s word so we make the Bible the authoritative guide for our lives. Community

The Gospel makes us an authentic and caring community that is intentionally involved with one another in deepening relationships. Our model is the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit existing in eternal and perfect community. Even though we come from different cultures and have different stories to share, Christ makes us one family. Because of that we are willing to put the needs of others above our own needs and to honestly forgive and reconcile when needed. We celebrate the joyous milestones in each of our lives. We share the hospitality of our homes, eating and spending time together. Prayer and worship are central to us. We want to express our love for God and our dependence on His grace when we gather. We study the Bible together because God intends His truth to be lived out in relationship with others. Our primary contexts for community are:
Informal friendships with church friends
Mentoring & accountability groups
Missional communities
Worship services

Mission

Because we’ve been transformed by grace, we are eager to partner with God in extending His grace and mercy to others. We employ our spiritual gifts and natural abilities for the sake of others; not only do we serve others in the church but we love and care for the larger city, meeting real needs (basic, relational, etc.) and helping our city flourish. It is our hope and prayer that our city is a better place because we exist. Since we invest most of our time in our vocations, these callings are the primary means by which we demonstrate the Gospel and make disciples. Occasionally we travel abroad to help carry out the Great Commission. No matter where we go, we want to convey truth through meaningful relationships.

BAPTISM ANNOUNCEMENT for Sunday, Aug 9...

Good Morning Church! If you didn't know we have some rain in the forecast this morning. We have formulated a plan, here is what we are going to do:

We are going to have baptisms at the river at 10:30am. If you would like to join us, please do, but also plan the potential of getting wet with those being baptized. More than likely, we will just baptize in the water but we may sing a song or two. These baptisms, hopefully, will be on live stream from the river.

After the baptisms, we will go back to the church and worship with songs and a short message followed by lunch and gathering. We will be eating lunch at the church, bring food to the church.

We know this may be complicated, but we desire to still do baptisms at the river but we also value worshiping together. If you have questions, please text Pastor Jesse or Pastor Hoyt.

We have a busy weekend!!

1. Celebrate New Life: Weekend Baptism Service
Witnessing someone take the step of baptism is one of the greatest joys of the church. Come ready to cheer, pray, and celebrate as our brothers and sisters declare their faith in Jesus!

When: Sunday Morning, 10:30am @ Traxler Park - Rock Aqua Jays Stadium.

Action Step: Bring a friend, pack the RAJ stadium, bring a dish to pass and dessert for lunch, and let's make some noise for what God is doing! If you are interested in being baptized yourself, reply to this email immediately or send a text to Pastor Jesse (608.512.5512).

Serving: We will be loading a trailer and setting up at 8am. If you want to help, please plan to be at church at 8am!

Offering: Our offering on Sunday will go straight to missions - helping support church plants, Argentina partnership, and local missions that we support.

2. Be the Hands and Feet: Beloit Community Service Project
We are taking the love of Jesus outside our walls. We are partnering with a local congregation (New Life Ministries) for a hands-on service project to bless neighbors and share the gospel.

When: Saturday from 12:00 PM - 4PM.

Where: New Life Ministries in Beloit, WI (1400 Harvey St., Beloit)

Action Step: We are trying to run as much of the block party as possible, whether that's helping distribute and make food, running games for kids, and other activities so the members of New Life Ministries can meet people and build relationships with them.

Contact: We really need your help. You can bring the whole family even if it's just for an hour or two. Serving together is a great family event! If you plan on coming, please text Pastor Jesse (608.512.5512).

Whether you are cheering at the baptisms, rolling up your sleeves to serve, or doing both, your presence matters. Let’s make a lasting difference together this weekend!
