Faithful stewardship helps strengthen ministry across our community. We are looking for a thoughtful and detail-oriented financial leader to step into the role of Finance Officer.

The Seventh Day Baptist General Conference is seeking someone to help steward the financial resources, systems, and processes that support our shared mission. This is a full-time role based in Janesville, WI. As Finance Officer, you’ll help oversee accounting, reporting, budgeting, compliance, payroll, audits, and financial administration.

We are excited to welcome Nate Crandall as our new Coaching Coordinator.

Nate joins the team with years of experience serving the SDB General Conference, most recently as the pastor of The Connecting Church in Milton. Many in our community already know him through his impactful work with church planters and his leadership with SCSC and Emerging Leaders.

In this role, Nate will provide vital support and guidance to our leaders and churches across the United States and Canada. His commitment to Biblical-centered living and community growth makes him an excellent fit for this position as we continue to empower our local congregations.

Join us in welcoming Nate to this new role. We look forward to seeing how God uses his gifts to strengthen our network and support our leaders.

We’re ready to see these students and young adults serve through SCSC and Dedicated Service projects across the country. Our host locations this year include Berlin, Fort Lauderdale, Good News, West Palm Beach, Salem, Shiloh, and the SDB Center.

These leaders are an essential part of our community, focusing on spiritual guidance and local service. Please join us in praying for them as they travel and begin their work. Your prayers and support make a tangible difference in their ministry.

Who in your church has a heart that just radiates the love of Christ? Or maybe there’s a preacher whose words have recently opened up the Bible for you in a whole new way?

We’re now accepting nominations for the 2026 SDB Council on Ministry Awards! This is our chance as a community to celebrate the leaders who shepherd us and the voices that challenge us.

We are looking for nominations in two categories:
1. The David L. Taylor Pastor’s Heart Award: For pastors who show a genuine spirit of shepherding and care.
2. The Excellence in Preaching Award: For those committed to faithful, clear, and impactful gospel messages.

This is shaping up to be an awesome time! Register today!

Summer is just around the corner, and that means IGNITE 2026 is almost here. From July 18–21, we are gathering at the Cross Oak Camp & Retreat Center in St. Marys, Ohio, for a few days focused on growth, community, and leadership.

This experience is designed for students in grades 6 through 12 who are part of our Seventh Day Baptist family. It is a chance to dive into worship, study the Bible together, and explore our rich denominational history. Plus, you will get hands-on experience by working with conference committees: a great way to start your leadership journey.

We are so glad to have Valerie Probasco and Debbie Bond co-directing again this year, and Dr. Andrea Huffman will be joining the staff as our Camp Doctor.
