The 4th Degree Assembly 1209 (Beloit/Janesville) organized a prayer service and Rosary today at Mt. Olivet to honor the men and women who gave their lives for our freedom. Thank you to all you who have, and are, serving our country. We will meet the 3rd Saturday of each month at 3PM to pray the Rosary again.

The three KC Councils in Janesville spent the weekend offering Tootsie Rolls as a fundraiser to help those with intellectual disabilities. Brother Knights spent time at Woodman's, Farm & Fleet, and Sentry. Each Council also spent time after each Mass raising money. Our Brother Knights worked hard but we were all put to shame by our youngest (and cutest) volunteer.

Some Brother Knights from SJV Council 9360 spent a few hours today "working " at the Milton Ave. Culvers for our first ever Scoopie Night (afternoon). Once it got busy we were opening doors, greeting customers, and delivering orders. So busy in fact I forgot to take pictures of us actually doing it. We'll use the money raised to continue our acts of charity for our parish and city. Thanks to our Brother Knights for stepping up, to St. Jane parishioners for stopping in, and especially to the Milton Ave. Culvers for inviting us.

SJV Knights of Columbus Council 9360 hosted a Meager Meal after Stations of the Cross on Friday, Feb 27th. Nine Brother Knights served a homemade tomato bisque and made-to-order grilled cheese sandwiches to 40 or so hungry parishioners. We would like to thank everyone that stopped by to eat. Stations are held every Friday rotating through the different churches in Janesville. Check the bulletin for the schedule.

Members of the SJV Council 9360 once again served a steak dinner to the men at the GIFTS men's shelter New Year's Eve. This has been an annual tradition with our Council for years, and we are already looking forward to next year.
