Weakness is not failure. It is an opportunity for God’s strength to be displayed. When you admit your need, you make room for grace.
God is not frustrated by your dependence. He invites it. His strength carries you when yours runs out.

BetterMornings Devo - Cleaning House

Scripture: “And he entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold… My house shall be a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of robbers.” — Luke 19:45-46

Thought: Jesus flips tables. Let that settle.

The same King who rode in humbly now walks into the temple with fire in His bones. Why? Because what was meant to be holy had become hollow. What was meant to host God had become a marketplace for selfish gain.

Most people don’t like this Jesus. We like the gentle Savior. The forgiving Jesus. The one who comforts. But this Jesus confronts. He disrupts. He cleans house.

And here’s where it gets personal: You are the temple now. So what tables need flipping in your life? What have you allowed in—habits, compromises, quiet sin—that have turned your heart into a marketplace instead of a dwelling place?

Jesus doesn’t negotiate with idols. He overturns them.

Reflection: What in my life would Jesus confront if He walked in today? Where have I tolerated what God wants removed? Is my life marked more by convenience or consecration?

Call to Action: Flip a table. Name the sin. Kill the compromise. Delete the app. Make the call. Confess it. Don’t manage sin. Crucify it.

Prayer: “Jesus, You are not safe—but You are good. Come into my life and overturn what doesn’t belong. Cleanse my heart. Make me holy. Make me dangerous to sin and alive to righteousness. Amen.”
