DONATIONS NEEDED!
Our Annual Youth Rummage Sale is just around the corner on June 13th, and we are in need of more donations!

For our Mission Trip, this year we will be traveling to Grand Rapids, MI for an inner-city immersion experience. This will be an awesome opportunity for our students to get to jump into inner-city ministry.

If you have any gently used items you need to Spring Clean out of your house, we would love to have them for the Rummage Sale. We can even schedule a local pick-up of your items! As a reminder, we cannot take paint cans, tube TVs, anything needing repairs, or any items Salvation Army will not take if not sold at our sale.

Dates: January 4-25th

First WEEKLY corporate gathering: Sunday, January 4th at 4:00 p.m. at Christ the Rock Church, 2232 Hermitage Ln., Janesville
Focus for January 5-11: Personal Revival

DAILY Prayer Room:
A room will be available over the noon hour (12:00-1:00 p.m.) for prayer during the weekdays (Beginning, Monday, January 5th) at the following locations. The noon hour prayer time will be informal and unstructured so people can come and go as they are able during their lunch break. A worship CD will be playing during the hour set aside for prayer.

Mondays: Roxbury Church, 2103 Roxbury Rd. Janesville
Tuesdays: Wesleyan Church, 967 Benton Ave., Janesville
Wednesdays: Christ the Rock, 2232 Hermitage Ln., Janesville

Compassion Sunday this Sunday. We are not having our regular church service but going out, being the church, and loving on our community. Be here at 9:30. We'll pray together, head out, and come back for lunch and worship together.

There is a legend of a village in Southern Europe that boasted of a church called, "The House of Many Lamps."

When it was built in the sixteenth century, the architect provided for no light except for a holder at every seat for the placing of a lamp. Each Sunday night, as the people gathered, they would bring their lanterns and slip them into the bracket at their seat. When someone stayed away, his place would be dark. And if very many stayed away, the darkness became greater for the whole Church. It was the responsibility of each person to make sure that the Church was lit up.
