Many of us remember where we were when 9/11 occurred. We remember the pictures of the buildings and many of the victims of that tragedy that day in NY, at the Pentagon and Shanksville PA. Did you know that almost 7,000 people died in 2025 and almost 6,000 in 2026 from 911 cancers, etc. We know that so many families are still dealing with sadness and health due to the 9/11 attack. Let's keep them in our thoughts and prayers. Be blessed.

The “Faithful Few” hope you and yours have had an enjoyable
and fun summer despite the current heat wave. We know that many of you enjoyed family reunions, vacations and other activities. The Davis and Williams families were two of those who returned to the hometown. More on that later.

Pastor Rodgers’ message, “A Prayer Meeting at Sister Mary’s House (Acts 12:11-12) was a tribute for our Women’s Day. The message detailed how Peter, out of prison went to the home of Mary where a group was praying. He detailed that prayer is talking to God;
God answers prayer and we should never give up on prayer. In addition, when we pray, we must remember to do our part. We must remember prayer works; it changes things and prayer meetings are part of our midweek recharge.

Please remember those on our prayer lists and especially our most
senior members and friends, Mother Marian Davis (98), Ernestine
Davis Staten (98), Agnes Dixon, Alice Louis Mariner (96),
Fred Hopkins (97), Louise Whitley, Charles and Andrew Willis, Joyce Gray, Carol Midgett-Sheppard, and Queenie Hardison Barnes who is currently in rehab.

We continue to support our community individuals and
organizations, local, state and national religious and charitable organizations to the best of our ability. This month our charitable donations are to the Jamesville Fire/EMS and Food Pantry. Many thanks for your support. As always, please support local churches,

We are in the midst of floods, fires, heatwaves, earthquakes, etc. Some people have no homes, jobs and lost family. Keep them in prayers and deeds. We are in the middle of deadly heat so call those widows, elders, ailing and those who are most affected by the weather. Living without air back in the day does not mean you can do it as well now. Quite often we visit elders who are living in very warm houses so stay in touch with them. One key is to stay hydrated. Waiting to you feel thirsty is not a good practice. Be Blessed.

It is with sadness that we have learned of the passing of Sister Janice James. Sister James is the wife of Pastor Barry James of the Uniontown community of Jamesville. Please keep the James and Thompson families in thoughts and prayers and deeds.

Looking To The Heavens

Last Saturday many of us were looking to the skies to see the beauty of July 4th fireworks. Remember you don't have to wait for holidays, festivals and special occasions. You can look to the Heavens almost any morning or night and see the beauty of the gift we have been given by the Almighty. Be blessed.

HAPPY JULY FOURTH

The village of Jamesville is now quiet with most of the booms and crackles slowly fading away. It is hot and muggy but the Roanoke sends river breezes to gently ring the wind chimes. Can't wait for tomorrow to continue thanking God for our freedoms and liberties. Keep praying for those. Be blessed.
