Today was the last day of preschool
At Bethel Lutheran….forever💔
I woke up at 2 a.m. and wasn’t able to get back to sleep. I’ve been dreading this day. Thoughts of loss and sadness filled my mind. I’ve been so emotional about not doing the thing I love most. I’ve been at this school for 37 years and it’s what I know , what I do and a big part of who I am! Im always keeping my eyes peeled for bargains on craft supplies, paper, glue sticks and so much more! I don’t know how to live my life without this…..yet.
Today at our picnic I saw so much joy, laughter, and children and families enjoying every last second of fun !!!
No one was sad (although they knew it was the last day). These kids don’t know what’s happening next week, or next month or even this fall but they trust that life is full of exciting things, fun times and new friends to meet and enjoy! They were enjoying the moment and trusting the journey! So today this teacher learned from her students…to trust the journey, be happy for what we’ve had and trust that more happy times are coming!
It has been such a great ride and I am honored to have been blessed with this life/career!!
Thank you to the hundreds of families and children I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with! It’s been a blast!!! 🥰❤️🥹
