📚We’re starting 2 NEW youth Sunday School classes at 10am this Sunday, September 6th… We hope you’ll plan to join us!

“Foolishness & Wisdom” (Grades 6-9, Room 330) will re-introduce Middle Schoolers to the storyline of Scripture as we pick back up in the Old Testament books of 1-2 Samuel & 1 Kings. High Schoolers are encouraged to attend “Genesis to Revelation: The Big Story” (Grades 10-12 + adults, North Room) taught by Pastor Steve Kilburn, as they also follow along the Biblical narrative and discover Jesus as the hero of the Story.

🍁Outbound Youth is returning for the Fall! Here are a few quick highlights:

📚NEW Sunday School classes (begins Sunday, September 6th): Students are invited on Sunday mornings at 10am for two class options - “Foolishness & Wisdom” for Middle School (Grades 6-9, with Pastor Ben) and “Genesis to Revelation: The Big Story” for High School (Grades 10-12, with Pastor Steve).

🎉Youth Group Kick-Off Event (Sunday, September 13th): Join us from 6:30-8:30pm in the Family Center for “Outbound Mystery Night” - food, games & new “The Jesus Way” lesson series!

📖We just concluded our 1st Summer Student Bible Study! Thank you to the several students who joined us weekly and a big thanks to Chuck Archer for leading in July.

Each week, we walked through the letter of Philippians together. Students discovered themes of identity, joy, humility & contentment - all centered on Jesus! We hope you came away encouraged and equipped with a desire to continue growing in your study of God’s Word!

“I am sure of this, that he who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6 CSB)

🫱🏼‍🫲🏻A big THANK YOU to each of our students who participated in our annual Outbound “Summer Serve” Weekend!

Students enjoyed serving at St Susan Center and hearing from the Golcaves family who is preparing to work as missionaries in Brazil. Student leaders also enjoyed a delicious Central Asian meal with members of the Hillcrest Missions Team.

Our hope and prayer is that students came away encouraged and excited about being a part of furthering God’s mission right here in Jamestown & in the nations!

On Saturday (tomorrow), August 15th, students will have the opportunity to serve with St. Susan Center (11:30am-2:30pm). Let us know if you can join us!

At Youth Group on Sunday the 16th (6:30-8:30pm, Family Center), students will hear from one of our own Hillcrest missionaries. We can’t wait to see you this weekend!

This is always a great opportunity for Outbound students to serve as volunteers for the week. At VBS, you can serve as a guide, or help with the crafts, games, drama, snacks, etc… There’s so many ways to join in on the fun! Contact Pastor Ben for more details.
