Lots going on behind the scenes over here at Aspen! Recently, Val attended a conference at Moody Bible Institute – her alma mater. She also met with a few professors, the alumni director, and connected with local ministry leaders to talk about what Aspen is doing.

Help us collect 10,000 questions by hosting a Question Night this summer! 🙌

We want your student’s voices in our project as we collect 10,000 questions about life, faith, and God. Every group of students aged 12-19 is our target audience.

We’ve been in public schools, Christian schools, youth groups, youth conferences, juvenile detention centers, and after school clubs. We’ll customize the time together so that it’s appropriate and valuable for everyone involved!

In the latest Aspen Newsletter, Val shared a bit about the stories she hears when working with students. She wrote...

"I know the details aren’t mine to share, but suffice it to say that if one thing has been crystalized to me through the 10,000 Questions project it is that sexual abuse, violence, divorce and addiction are no respecter of zip codes."

We are daily reminded of the heaviness students carry when they come to our events. Each has their own story and yet they still show up to ask questions about God. That is why we do this –– in hope that they will seek Jesus, who truly satisfies.

Sean currently serves as an Associate Pastor at Redemption Chapel, but Val and Sean worked in student ministry together back in the day. It was a blast to catch up and hear more about Sean's story. Stay tuned for more!
