It's Sunday. . . Say what?

The last couple of weeks have been tough for kids and teachers alike, you see it is testing season for the school system. One 3 hour test to show what you know and if you've grown in the last year. It did make me think about the "testing" of our faith and our spiritual leadership. Would we pass or fail based on the last year? The last week? Would our ministries pass? Have they seen growth? What does that even look like?

Some would often look to the numbers, did we have new children join us? How many events did we do? How many attended VBS? Spiritually speaking, you have to look deeper- it's not about the size it's about the depth. Did your students in your ministry grow spiritually? Are they more spiritually mature now than a year ago? Do they have a basic understanding of the Bible? Do they understand salvation? Do you see the fruit of the spirit in their lives? All of this my friends is growth.

Funny thing about testing, sometimes we just make things a little over complicated. I had a simple reminder this week as I administered the "test", Little Jesus made it to my classroom. A simple reminder that He is in control and He is our helper when we may be feeling overwhelmed or stressed. So let this be your reminder when you are put through a "test" just let go and rely on Him; Jesus really is the answer!

We are excited to share this special one day VBS opportunity happening at one of our local churches! This Super Sunday VBS experience will be filled with fun, fellowship, games, worship, and learning more about Jesus. While it may only be one day, it’s going to be a BIG day full of excitement and community!
