Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church Jamestown The devout servants of the Lord met sometime during the year of 1891 from the Saint Mary Baptist Church and organized in this community. C. W. S. Lee. B. A. C.)

Many years ago, after being touched and inspired by the Holy Spirit of God, the brothers and sisters realized that the principles of Christian religion was needed in all ages. Feeling the need for a Baptist church in the community, and recognizing the fact that it was one of the most vital responsibilities in any society, work to this cause was begun. Among these were: Brothers Jim Lee, John Holm

es and Ben Holmes, Sisters Annie Holmes, and Easter Harper. Through the benevolent providence and guidance of the Almighty, and after much prayerful deliberation, the name that was decided upon in the meeting for this newly organized body, was Ebenezer Baptist Church where many members were baptized. This organization gave birth to five local ministers who consist of Pastor Jim Lee, Pastor J. Lee, Pastor Doc Lee Pastor B. Lee, and Pastor Arthur Germany. The church has ordained six ministers; Pastor Jim Theus, Pastor Mack Myles, Pastor B. Lee Pastor Henry Jackson, Pastor W. Odom, and Pastor J. Twenty-four deacons have been ordained; Brothers John Lee, Crausea Johnson, Ed Smith, Robert Wilson, Lewis Germany, Pete Lee, Isiah Johnson, Mayo Holmes, Robert Wise, Floyd Conley, Calvin Loud, Dorfus Loud, Luther Lofton, Henry Holmes, Robert Howard, O. Walters, Lonnie Pearson, Johnny Howard, Bennie Poland, Bobby Poland, Thomas Howard, Ernest Lee Drew Sr, Sherman Rambo and Gene Brock. There have been many marriages in this organization and countless numbers of funerals have attended. This organization has been under the administration of fifteen pastors: Pastor Nathaniel Glover, Pastor B. Ammon, Pastor Adam Johnson, Pastor Jim Theus, Pastor Mack Myles, Pastor Ward Scott, Pastor B. Lee, Pastor Frank Myers, Pastor R. Tanker, Pastor Henry Jackson, Pastor W. Odoms, Pastor C. Cage, Pastor Fred A. Hall, (Under his leadership, the name of the church was changed to Ebenezer Missionary B. Pastor Kenneth W. Jenkins, Pastor Alexander Elie, etc. During the dynamic, untiring, and unselfish leadership of the above ministers, many of whose sainted souls are now resting around the throne of God, many new souls were won, many lives were touched in countless ways, and the spiritual life of our church was strengthen, and the influence has been felt throughout the entire community! We can truly say that we have come this far by faith, prayer, and hard work, in order to overcome the many challenges that we have faced over the years. We continue to move forward making sure that we keep God first in our lives!!
