Seven years. One legacy.

In Scripture, seven often points to completion, wholeness, and perfection. And in 2027, IGNITE reaches a milestone: our seventh conference.

But we’re not calling it IGNITE 2027 v.7.

We’re calling it…

IGNITE: LEGACY

For six years, God has been writing a story through IGNITE. Lives have been changed. Friendships have been formed. Callings have been awakened. A generation has been challenged to carry the fire of God beyond a conference and into their churches, communities, and world.

Now we’re asking a bigger question:

What will we leave behind for those who come after us?

Next September, we will RESPOND. RELATE. RENEW. And together, we’ll consider the legacy God is calling us to build.

Our hearts are heavy as Nepal faces the devastating aftermath of catastrophic flash flooding and mudslides. Hundreds are reported dead, and more than 1,300 people are still missing. Roads, bridges, and highways have been washed away, leaving many communities isolated and without communication.

Last night, Bishop Gopal Lama, National Bishop of Nepal, shared that, by God’s grace, the Church of God of Prophecy families and churches he has been able to contact are safe. However, communication with some of the most severely affected mountain communities has been completely cut off, and the full extent of the devastation is still unknown.

Bishop Gopal has personally ministered in some of these affected areas, where many tribal communities live. He is asking us to join together in showing love and compassion through prayer and, as relief efforts become possible, humanitarian aid for those who have lost so much.

Please join us in praying for Nepal. For those who have lost loved ones, for the more than 1,300 still missing, for isolated communities, and for the safety and strength of those working to bring relief.

Edit: As of Friday, reports indicate there are around 550 deceased people and almost 2,500 missing from both Nepal and Tibet, China.

Please pray for the family of former NCCOGOP Pastor Chris Barnes. He passed away on Sunday, August 16th. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Hood Memorial Christian Church, 300 East Cumberland Street, Dunn, NC 28334. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Thanks for praying for the Barnes family.

Some of the most meaningful moments at Ignite don’t happen from the platform.

Throughout the weekend, every participant will be part of a Debrief Group. Debrief Groups are a smaller setting where you can slow down, process what you’re hearing, and share what God is doing in your life.

It’s also one of the best ways to experience what makes Ignite unique. You’ll sit around the circle with young adults from different churches, communities, and states. You’ll hear their stories. They’ll hear yours. And somewhere along the way, strangers often become friends.

Last year, young adults from 15 states came together at Ignite 2025. Debrief Groups helped turn a crowd of people from across the country into a community. In our evaluations, we heard this comment several times, "We wish we had even more time in our Debrief Group."

Sometimes you need more than another session. Sometimes, you need a conversation. Sometimes, you need someone to pray with you. Sometimes, you need a place to say, “Here’s what I believe God is doing in me.”

That’s what Debrief Groups are all about. We will see you soon!

Please pray for the family of Joe Jonas, former NCCOGOP State Properties Manager. Brother Joe and his wife, Shelia, pastored the Mocksville COGOP after faithfully serving our state, managing and caring for Camp Maranatha and the State Office property for 18 years. He was well loved and respected among our NCCOGOP family and in the High Point community. We still remember his devoted care of our church property fondly.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, at Eaton Funeral Chapel, 325 N. Main Street, Mocksville, NC 27028. Interment will follow at the Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery in Mocksville at 2323 US Hwy 601 South

Mocksville, NC 27028, with military honors conducted by the U.S. Army and the VFW Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be considered for the Church of God of Prophecy, c/o Mrs. Joyce Smith, 235 Cranford Road, Salisbury, NC 28146.
