As the Pastor of Emmanuel Church of God in Christ of Jacksonville, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting our page. We at Emmanuel think of our church as a community of believers wi

thin a community with a world-wide vision that is aimed at reaching the lost, strengthening families, and going beyond the walls of the church. We are committed to making disciples, training and raising up leaders that will impact our communities, Florida, the world, and generations to come. We are called to help people live the abundant life in Christ Jesus. Emmanuel COGIC of Jacksonville is more than a Church, it’s a KINGDOM EXPERIENCE!
..............................................................................................................................

Elder Gabriel Hall served as the Assistant Pastor at Cathedral of Faith COGIC in Jacksonville Florida under the leadership of the late Bishop C.D. In 2001, Elder Hall assumed the Assistant Pastor role in full due to the Hospitalization of Bishop Kinsey. Elder Hall pastured the flock for a little more than 18 months. The decision to branch out and start anew was made by Elder Hall. March 30, 2003, was the first Service held for Emmanuel C.O.G.I.C, at a small wedding chapel in the Arlington area of Jacksonville in January 2004,

The Church body and Pastor Hall were officially Consecrated and Installed by the Church of God In Christ Organization. In February 2005 we purchased land to build a sanctuary. In March 2005 Pastor Hall formed the Building Committee to help with the ins and outs of building. The decision was made to start with the Multi-purpose building and use it as the sanctuary until the church builds the main sanctuary. The Emmanuel Multi-purpose building was completed in late October 2008 and the Emmanuel Church family had our first service in our brand new building at 6326 Dunn Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida on Thanksgiving day, November 28, 2008. Our prayer is that you will be blessed and strengthened by the power of Jesus, and that you will live a life of abundance in fellowship, joy and liberty. Emmanuel COGIC of Jacksonville is here for you. It is not just a church; it is a fellowship of believers coming together to declare the glory of the Lord, and to celebrate Jesus as King. We study the Word, practice what we learn, and in the process grow together. May God richly bless you! May the Lord bless you and keep you! We hope to see you soon!

He replied, "You give them something to eat." They answered, "We have only five loaves of bread and two fish — unless we go and buy food for all this crowd."
Luke 9:13
Thought for Today
I love the way Jesus gets his disciples' attention. "You feed them, boys!" Of course they knew that they couldn't! Yet Jesus showed them that if they brought their meager resources to him, they could do amazing things. When the big picnic was over, each of them got to pick up a basket full of leftovers from the table of God's grace! Let's remember that it isn't the challenge or the resources that limit us; it's our unwillingness to bring what we have to Jesus and trust that he will do something with us to bless others in ways we couldn't have dreamed! (Ephesians 3:20-21)
My Prayer
All praise to you, Abba Father, for your extravagant help and mercy in times of need, for your loving and generous provision in times of want, and your surprising and exciting use of me and the resources you have entrusted to me to accomplish your will. In Jesus' name I praise you. Amen.

The Same Every Day

"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever." Hebrews 13:8

Is there ever a time where you allow situations and circumstances in your life to dictate how you behave and respond? Perhaps you are not smiling like you were the day before or your demeanor this week is not as pleasant as last week. What causes your emotions to rise and fall? Different stressors can come and go in our lives; but, how we handle those tough situations makes all the difference in the world.

There is nothing that you will ever go through that Jesus Christ has not already overcome. Once you get a revelation of who He is; you are better able to deal with life stress. Instead of being on the emotional rollercoaster, you will be calm and consistent in most situation. As you spend more time reading the Bible and understanding your victory in Jesus, you will not allow just anything to send you over the emotional edge. Instead, your confidence in God and His love and abilities will keep you even keel.

When an unexpected situation happens in your life (and it will), reflect on God's promises. You will see He has already made provision for you. Trust Him and remain the same. When a situation seems to get worse before it gets better, remain the same. When the children or the job become overwhelming, and you're at a loss for what to do, remain the same. Remain dependent on and resilient in God. Even in Jesus' darkest hour, He remained the same. Grab hold of God's Word for your life. Refuse to allow the enemy to toss you and move you away from God and His purpose for your life. Become steadfast, unmovable and always abounding in the work of the Lord.

Healing all.......

Acts 10:38 (NKJV) …how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

As we continue to look at the heart of God, we see in this verse that God was working, through Jesus, to bring healing and good to humanity. Jesus was anointed by God, with the powerful Holy Spirit, to go and heal. He also showed us that healing is good. I do not know about you, but when sickness comes against me or someone I love, I never see it as a good thing. I never say, “God must be trying to teach me something through this.”
No! We have an enemy of God who is coming against us, and God has given us His Word and the blood of Jesus to fight him and defeat him. In Revelation 12:11 it says, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” We overcome the enemy by the blood of our Savior, and by His Word being in our mouth, and spoken by faith. According to Hebrews 4:12, God’s Word is as sharp as a two-edged sword!
We need to speak His Word through our lips and put the enemy to flight in our lives. Do not ever underestimate the power of the Word of God on a believer’s lips. You have the power of God within you. Use it today!

Confession: God’s Word resides big within me, and today I make a quality decision to use it and to speak it. As I speak His Word, mountains have to move. God’s Word is powerful as I speak it by faith.

[The Lord says,] "Even to your old age and gray hairs, I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.
Isaiah 46:4
Thoughts for Today
God will not forget us when we're in trouble or when we are old. We may outlive our friends and be forgotten by those who know us, but God will never leave us or forsake us. He will sustain, carry, protect, and rescue us.
My Prayer
Thank you, my Father, for promising to never forget me. Because of your faithfulness to your children of old, I know I can trust your promise to never leave me. I trust that no matter where I am or where I go, you will go with me. In Jesus' name I offer my heartfelt thanks. Amen.
