We are a Holiness Church we believe that there is one God who is the creator and father of us all Genesis 1:1 and that Jesus Christ is the son of God sent to save humanity Hebrew 10:1-10. Our Beginning
True Holiness Apostolic Church started out as a vision in the mind of founder and Pastor Eld: LV Harper in the spring of 1986 where it laid dormant waiting for its season while Pastor Harp
er finished other obligation. Eld, Harper's dream became a reality on January 1, 2006, Pastor Harper along with a few others moved into a 25’ by 32’ or 800sq. A small rented building with one door (one way in and one way out) with one bathroom and just enough room to hold 12 chairs. It was known then that we wouldn’t be there long through a spoken word by our Pastor “We will be out of this building in less then a year”. One Sunday after church Pastor and first lady decided to look around just to see what was
available. After looking at several other buildings they came across this building located at 123 South Bailey Blvd, there was a for sale sign in the front yard. With little to no money in the bank especially not enough money to purchase a church Pastor called the owner by faith. After contacting the owners a spiritual connection and a friendship was made between the Harper’s and the Pool’s almost immediately, this building had been on the market for sale for over a year with several potential buyers in line, the Pool's said that they were waiting for the right buyer to come along. After meeting with the Harper’s I image Mr & Ms.Pool said Lord they seam like the right people but they’re broke, at that time the Pool's decided to rent the building to the Harper’s instead. On December 31, 2006 less then one year after the spoken word from the Pastor; True Holiness's congregation move from 716 Lenora Street Jacksonville Arkansas, housing only 800sq. with only one door to 123 So, Bailey Blvd. Jacksonville, Arkansas to a 4000sq. ft building with three bathrooms, class rooms a kitchen and a Rummage Sale Store area, also with several with several accessable doors (more then one way in and one way out). Again Pastor spoke a word of knowledge saying that we would be the owners of this building, Pastor believed that the Lord would put it into the hearts of the owners to make a way for us to purchase this Building which was ideal for our flourishing Congregation. To God be the glory we signed The paperwork to purchase this building on December 24th 2007.
“Look at God”
In 2008 through generous donations God blessed us to go from stack-able chairs to pews God also blessed us with an organ a guitar, and with faith and patience we wait for God to send us spirit filled musicians that can play them. In 2009 still without musicians but with faith, our drummer (Termaine) and choir director (Brother Paul Humphrey) formed the True Holiness Mass Choir. We also upgraded our sound system to help use make a joyful noise unto the Lord. I’m not sure what God has in store for our future. But I know with Pastor Harper being the founder, Pastor and Shepherd of this house and as he continues to follow the visions that the lord has
given him. We the members of this house will follow him as he follows Christ. We will continue lifting Gods' name up in praise, praying, believing and being faithful. I know that God’s "will” will be done in this place. Starting a Church; good
Moving up to a 4000sq ft building; a blessing. Buying this building with no money in the bank;
a miracle. The spiritual growth of the members; priceless. Compiled by: Dec, George Bridges
