The ASL sign for “admit” carries a beautiful picture. Historically, the movement reflects the idea of opening up and releasing what has been held inside—an unburdening. This same sign is also commonly used for the English word “confess” which we often see in church. It is more than simply saying words; it shows honesty, vulnerability, and letting the weight come out into the open.
Spiritually, that is exactly what confession does. Pride keeps things buried. Fear keeps things hidden. But freedom begins when we finally admit our sin, our weakness, and our need for God.
You do not have to carry what God is willing to forgive❗️
👉Here is a challenge for you: Is there something you’ve been holding inside—sin, bitterness, fear, guilt? Bring it to God honestly. Stop carrying the burden alone. What is admitted can finally be healed.
📖“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” — 1 John 1:9 (KJV)
