❤️ We Received A Heart-Checking Word Today! ❤️

Pastor Larry Burton delivered a powerful message, “The Word Will Reveal Your Heart,” from Luke 8:1-15, reminding us that God’s Word doesn’t just speak to us—it reveals us.

Using the Parable of the Sower, we were challenged to examine the condition of our hearts and ask ourselves: What kind of soil am I providing for God’s Word?

• The seed (God’s Word) is the same, but the soil determines the harvest
• Your heart determines your harvest
• God’s Word produces fruit in hearts that are open, receptive, and willing to obey
• Distractions, hardships, offenses, and the cares of this world can choke out the seed
• The enemy’s goal is to steal the Word before it can take root
• Guard your heart and stay rooted in God’s truth

One of the strongest takeaways from today’s message:
👉🏾 “The Word will reveal your heart.”

When we allow God’s Word to search us, correct us, and transform us, it produces lasting fruit in our lives. ❤️

Today’s Word Was🔥

On this Communion Sunday, Pastor Larry Burton delivered a powerful message from Luke 22:41–44, reminding us that some of the most life-changing prayers are also the hardest prayers we will ever pray.

In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus modeled complete surrender when He prayed, “Not my will, but Yours be done.” Through His example, we were challenged to move beyond inspiration and into true transformation.

💥 Key reminders from today’s message:
• Motivated people know something needs to change, but have not yet surrendered
• Inspiration can make us feel encouraged without actually being transformed
• Transformation requires surrender
• The hardest prayer is often the one that releases our will and embraces God’s will
• True transformation changes your life, not just your emotions
• Communion reminds us of the price Jesus paid through His obedience and surrender

One of the strongest takeaways from today:
👉🏾 “The danger is that inspiration feels so good that many people mistake it for transformation. They leave encouraged, but not surrendered.”

Using Ruth’s journey, we were challenged to trust God’s plan, release what we cannot control, and walk in obedience even when we cannot see the full picture.

• Surrender means yielding control and letting go of the need to control everything
• Surrender is a daily decision, not a one-time act
• True surrender transforms how we live, think, and respond
• A surrendered life produces visible fruit and spiritual growth
• Sometimes God is asking us to go before we can see where He is leading

One of the most powerful questions asked today was:
👉🏾 “What do I need to surrender to get to the place where God needs me to be?”

Just like Ruth, when we say “yes” to God, He positions us for purpose, provision, and transformation. ❤️

The power of God fell in the room as we were reminded that one encounter with Jesus can completely change the direction of your life. Saul’s encounter shifted him from resisting God to seeking God’s direction and purpose.

• Many people want change without surrender
• Surrender is the doorway to transformation
• We cannot fight spiritual battles with an unrenewed mind
• Whatever controls your thinking can eventually control your direction

We were reminded that one encounter with Jesus can completely change the direction of your life. Saul had position, knowledge, authority, and passion — but he lacked surrender. Yet one touch from God transformed everything.

• Change your relationships
• Change your direction
