Dear Friends -

Just a heads-up that our meeting this Thursday, April 20 at our Riverside location features Pastor Tim Lusk of Eastside Community Church. Tim is a wonderful communicator and this promises to be an uplifting meeting.

Please help us by spreading the word to people you know who work in the Riverside area at places like Fidelity, FIS, Black Knight, TIAA Bank, Florida Blue and Haskell.

The meeting is at noon in the bottom floor conference room in the Raymond James Building at 245 Riverside Avenue and we would ask that people planning to attend please rsvp to Tracy Nield at [email protected].

May the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ encourage you today and always!

I am delighted to announce that we are resuming in-person meetings at our Southbank location at the Rogers Towers law firm. Our first post-Covid meeting there will be this Thursday, April 13 at noon and our speaker will be Pastor Steve Newbill, Executive Pastor of Hopewell Church. Pastor Newbill is a wonderful communicator and I hope you are able to attend.

The Rogers Towers firm is located on the 15th floor of the Riverplace Tower, 1301 Riverplace Boulevard in the Southbank area. Please rsvp to Aimee Lopiano at [email protected] if you are able to attend.

Long time no see! We hope you are doing really well! Two things -

We are delighted to announce that on Thursday, June 23 we will resume in-person meetings at the Sheriff's Office in St. Augustine. Please contact Joyce Jolley at [email protected] for more information.

Yesterday we had a wonderful in-person meeting at our Riverside location with our newest speaker, Pastor Rodney Loewen of Impact Church in Jacksonville. Pastor Rodney taught on the exploits of Gideon (Judges 6 and 7) and encouraged us with this famous passage from Romans 12, as expressed in the Message Bible: “So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.” Romans 12:1-2 MSG

After much deliberation, tbf’s leadership has decided for the first half of the year to host one Zoom call per month combining all six of tbf’s locations. We of course hope to return to on-site meetings in the second half of the year.
