Sidewalk Funday School currently has 6 sites where we go out with a truck load of wonderful children's music, games, and bible stories and activities. We love on the children and teach them about Jesus and minister to the need of the entire family.

Thank you to every teen who joined us for Bible study! It means so much to see you show up, open up, and grow together in faith. This is the heart of what we do, meeting teens right where they are and pointing them toward Jesus!

Big congratulations to Mary!

She graduated from A. Philip Randolph High School in May, where she took part in the 4-year fire academy program and earned the JFRD Fire Chief Scholarship, to the Fire Academy of the South where she started in August - a huge step toward her future in the fire service. Her instructor, Engineer Anthony Ragans, was instrumental in helping her secure this opportunity, and we couldn't be more proud to watch her journey unfold. Because of your continued support, Sidewalk Ministries gets to walk alongside young people like Mary every step of the way!

What a joyful day for the whole Sidewalk family! For nearly ten years, we've had the privilege of walking with this family, since the day we first met these children in their neighborhood. We've watched God work in their hearts every year since!

Today, we celebrated something years in the making: the baptisms of Eddie, CJ, Emiona, Carlos, Zay, and Ira, along with their Mom/Aunt, who publicly professed her faith in Jesus Christ as Savior! Each of these young people came to know Christ on their own timeline, and today they professed that faith together, as a family, in obedience through baptism.

This is what faithful presence looks like. Relationships that started almost a decade ago are still bearing fruit today. We are overjoyed and so grateful to God for His faithfulness in this family's life!

Sidewalk Ministries started in 1996 the way it sounds, on the sidewalk! Our founders set up right in the playgrounds of local neighborhoods, teaching praise songs and sharing the love of Jesus with children who couldn't get to Sunday School themselves. Nearly thirty years later, that's still who we are, serving children right where they are!

What a joyful and unforgettable day for the Sidewalk Ministries family! We celebrated the baptisms of several of our youth, along with a beloved mother in their family, as she publicly proclaimed her faith in Jesus Christ.

For nearly ten years, we've walked alongside this family, watching God work in their hearts as each of them chose to follow Christ. Today they professed that faith together through baptism. We even got to spend time with them at home this weekend, watching Kimberly teach Emiona "Heart and Soul" on the piano!

We're grateful for every church family who has loved and discipled them along the way. To God be the glory!

At Sidewalk, our children sing worship songs and hear about God's purpose for their lives every single week. But it takes a community to make sure they hear the Good News over and over, from people who care about them.

This is what showing up looks like. 💚

Behind every game, every lesson, every conversation at our Sidewalk sites, there's a volunteer who chose to spend their time pouring into children in their own city. Some lead songs. Some teach. Some just sit on the sidewalk and listen. All of them are telling kids the same thing: you matter, and God has a plan for your life.

For 30 years, volunteers like these have been the heartbeat of Sidewalk Ministries, bringing the Gospel to children across five Jacksonville neighborhoods. No passport needed, just a willing heart.
