NEW YEAR'S GREETING FROM PASTOR STEVE
Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Isn't it nice to be thought of? Maybe during the holidays, you received a card, phone call, or maybe an email from a family member or friend you haven't heard from in a while. Did it make you feel good to know that they were thinking of you?
Well, there's someone else who is thinking of you. According to Jeremiah, God is thinking about you! What an awesome thought! The same God that created the universe and created you, has you on His mind. This God, who is infinite in wisdom, knowledge, and power, loves you with an everlasting love.
Not only is God thinking about you, He also wants the very best for you. The Hebrew word "thoughts" in Jeremiah 29:11, speaks to God's intentions, purpose, and plans for His people. He has a divine purpose and plan for your life, but we must make the choice to seek His will and desire to walk according to His plan.
As we enter into a new year, it's impossible for us to know what we will experience in the coming days, weeks, or months. As believers in Christ, we know what lies ahead at the end of life's journey, as we will be forever in the presence of the Lord in that place of eternal bliss. But whatever experiences we may face this year, no matter how difficult, God wants us to have that peace that passes all understanding.
With all the uncertainties that lie ahead, let me encourage you at the start of 2026 to remember that God has you on His mind and He wants the best for you. No matter what you will have to face this year, be assured that the God of all comfort has promised to never leave you or forsake you. Be determined to follow His plan for your life. You will not be disappointed!
God bless you.
