Why Jesus?
There has never been another name like the name of Jesus. Kingdoms have risen and fallen. Empires have come and gone. Philosophers, kings, false gods, and religious systems have all had their moment in history, but only Jesus Christ conquered death, rose from the grave, and is alive forevermore.
Jesus is not just a prophet. He is not merely a teacher or a good moral example. He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He is the Son of God, the Savior of the world, and the one true God manifested in the flesh.
The Bible says in John 14:6:
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’”
Notice Jesus did not say He was “a” way. He said He is “the” way. In a world filled with confusion, compromise, and countless voices claiming to have truth, Jesus stands alone as the only one who can save, redeem, heal, and deliver humanity.
The Scripture declares in Philippians 2:9-11:
“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
There is power in the name of Jesus.
Demons tremble at the name of Jesus.
Chains break at the name of Jesus.
Captives are set free at the name of Jesus.
The sick are healed in the name of Jesus.
Lives are transformed through the authority of Jesus Christ.
Throughout the Gospels, we see demons crying out in fear when Jesus approached them. Why? Because darkness recognizes authority. Hell knows who Jesus is even when many people refuse to acknowledge Him.
Mark 1:23-24 says:
“Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, saying, ‘Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are, the Holy One of God!’”
The enemy has no answer for Jesus.
No false god has ever defeated death. No idol has ever healed a broken soul. No carved image, philosophy, or man-made religion can wash away sin or give eternal life. Every false god is powerless because they are the invention of men. But Jesus Christ is alive.
Muhammad died.
Buddha died.
Krishna died.
Every earthly leader eventually dies.
But Jesus rose again.
The tomb is empty.
That is the difference.
Revelation 1:18 says:
“I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.”
Jesus defeated sin, death, hell, and the grave. Through His sacrifice on the cross, humanity now has access to forgiveness, redemption, and eternal life. The blood of Jesus still saves. His mercy still reaches the broken. His Spirit still transforms hearts today.
The world is searching for freedom in politics, money, fame, pleasure, self-help, and temporary solutions, but true freedom only comes through Jesus Christ.
John 8:36 says:
“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”
Jesus can break addiction.
Jesus can heal trauma.
Jesus can restore families.
Jesus can deliver people from demonic oppression.
Jesus can forgive the deepest sin.
Jesus can bring peace to the tormented mind.
And He is still doing miracles today.
There is no other name with this kind of authority.
Acts 4:12 says:
“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
We are living in a time where many people are spiritually hungry but spiritually confused. Many are chasing spirituality without truth. But the answer is not found in crystals, psychics, false religion, new age practices, or human wisdom. The answer is Jesus.
Not religion.
Not performance.
Not rituals.
Jesus.
He is holy.
He is righteous.
He is merciful.
He is powerful.
And He is coming again.
One day every knee will bow before Him, whether willingly or unwillingly, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
So why Jesus?
Because He is the only one who conquered death.
Because He alone has the power to save.
Because He alone can forgive sin.
Because He alone can set the captive free.
Because He alone defeated the powers of darkness.
Because He alone is alive forevermore.
Jesus Christ is still the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. And in a world full of darkness, confusion, fear, and deception, His light still shines brighter than ever.
