Beha’alotcha — “When You Set Up”
This week’s parashah continues Israel’s journey in the wilderness, focusing on preparation, movement, and challenges along the way. Here’s a simple overview:

📖 Torah — Numbers 8:1–12:16
The menorah is set up, and the Levites are consecrated for service. The people celebrate Passover, and God leads them by cloud and fire. As the journey begins, complaints arise, manna is provided, and leadership is shared. Miriam and Aaron speak against Moses, and Miriam is struck with leprosy before being restored.

📜 Haftarah — Zechariah 2:14–4:7
Zechariah shares a vision of restoration and encouragement, emphasizing God’s presence among His people.

📕 B’rit HaChadasha — Hebrews 7:11–28
These verses discuss priesthood and the role of intercession.

Join us for Shabbat service this Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Beth Israel Messianic Synagogue.

Naso — “Take”

This week’s parashah continues the journey in the wilderness, focusing on order, responsibility, and dedication within the community. Here’s a simple overview to guide your reading:

📖 Torah — Numbers 4:21–7:89
The responsibilities of the Levite families are further defined as they serve in transporting and caring for the Tabernacle. Instructions are given regarding purity, restitution, and the Nazirite vow. The priestly blessing is spoken over Israel, and the leaders of the tribes bring their offerings for the dedication of the altar.

📜 Haftarah — Judges 13:2–25
The birth of Samson is announced, including instructions given before his birth and the beginning of his life’s calling.

📕 B’rit HaChadasha — Acts 21:17–26
Paul arrives in Jerusalem and participates in purification rites, showing his connection to the practices of the people.

Take time this week to read through these portions and follow the structure and dedication within Israel’s journey. Join us for Shabbat service this Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Beth Israel Messianic Synagogue.

Shavuot — “Weeks”
This special appointed time marks a key moment of gathering, remembrance, and celebration. Here’s a simple overview of the readings to guide your time in the Scriptures:

📖 Torah — Deuteronomy 14:22–16:17
These passages outline the rhythm of giving, rejoicing, and appearing before the Lord during the appointed times, including Shavuot. The focus is on gratitude, provision, and celebrating together as a community.

📜 Haftarah — Habakkuk 2:20–3:19
Habakkuk offers a powerful prayer and reflection on God’s majesty, recounting His mighty works and expressing trust in Him regardless of circumstances.

📕 B’rit HaChadasha — Acts 2:1–21
The account describes a gathering in Jerusalem during Shavuot, where a dramatic moment takes place as people from many nations hear and respond together.

Take time this week to read these passages and reflect on this appointed time of gathering and remembrance. Join us for Shabbat service this Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Beth Israel Messianic Synagogue.
