POV…another day of physical therapy! Back in April I thought I had pulled a muscle or something in my knee, I kept limping around, taking Tylenol, putting ice on it, but it kept getting worse. I finally went to the doctor, had an MRI and the results were a significant tear of my meniscus and a bad sprain of my MCL. Fast forward, I’ve been in this immobilizer since May 2nd following all the instructions that the Orthopedic doctor gave me. I appreciate the fact that he wanted to try this method first before jumping into surgery. So, if you’ve missed seeing me this is where I’ve been, home or PT. The immobilizer has four metal rods that keep my leg straight so I can’t bend it at all, and I can’t drive.
I’m going to be on vacation (staycation) next week so glad I didn’t have any big plans. I am sad though because there were two things that I really wanted to do: See the new
and go to Crafty Crab. But I’m going to trust the process because I want to get back to 100% as soon as possible. I go back to the Orthopedic doctor on June 1st, and I’m praying for good news and to be freed from this immobilizer.
Thanks to everyone who has called, texted, or sent a meal; you are appreciated. Special THANKS to my girl she has been a great support to me, she’s made sure I’ve gotten to and from physical therapy (did I mention I cannot drive), she’s made sure I had food and made sure that I’m good. She has been a tremendous blessing and I truly appreciate her and our friendship.
Also, a huge THANK YOU to and , the greatest Pastors/Bosses on the planet for allowing me to be able to work from home during this time. Modern technology is amazing, I have not missed a deadline, any meetings or a church service thanks to a strong Wi-Fi connection, my laptop and phone.
Well, that’s it for me… hope everyone has a very safe and Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
