Heavenly Father,
We pray for Cambodia and for every farmer, family, and community depending upon the rice harvest.
Bring the rains in their proper season and in the proper measure. Break the grip of drought without bringing destructive flooding. Restore the balance of the land, the rivers, the reservoirs, the irrigation systems, and the soil.
Protect the rice plants from heat, drought, disease, pests, and every condition that threatens the harvest. Strengthen the crops that remain and restore the fields that have been damaged. Give farmers wisdom concerning planting, irrigation, harvesting, and the use of the water available to them.
Provide sufficient water for every community and make a way for water to reach fields that cannot currently be adequately irrigated. Give government officials, agricultural leaders, engineers, and relief organizations wisdom to respond quickly, honestly, and effectively.
Protect farmers from devastating financial losses and debt. Provide the seed, equipment, fuel, labor, and resources necessary to recover damaged fields and bring the harvest to completion.
Protect Cambodia’s food supply. Let there be enough rice for Cambodian families, and preserve the livelihoods of the people whose work feeds the nation.
Where there has been drought, bring restoration. Where there has been uncertainty, bring stability. Where there has been loss, provide recovery. Where there is fear, bring peace.
We pray for favorable weather, abundant water, healthy crops, successful harvests, and protection for the people of Cambodia.
