1 Corinthians 7: 20-24 (ESV)
17 Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him. This is my rule in all the churches. 18 Was anyone at the time of his call already circumcised? Let him not seek to remove the marks of circumcision. Was anyone at the time of his call uncircumcised? Let him not seek circumcision. 19 For neither circumcision counts for anything nor uncircumcision, but keeping the commandments of God. 20 Each one should remain in the condition in which he was called. 21 Were you a bondservant when called? Do not be concerned about it. (But if you can gain your freedom, avail yourself of the opportunity.) 22 For he who was called in the Lord as a bondservant is a freed man of the Lord. Likewise, he who was free when called is a bondservant of Christ. 23 You were bought with a price; do not become bondservants of men. 24 So, brothers, in whatever condition each was called, there let him remain with God.

Good morning, note that when you are called “as you are,” you are not required to change yourself. It is the grace of God that worketh in you that does the molding, pruning, and refining. Changing yourself can lead to deception, because you will change yourself according to the flesh. However, with surrender to the Most High God, you shall be changed according to his spirit that worketh in you. This grace abound to us because of the blood that was shed for you and for me, way back on Calvary. Thank you Jesus.

26 For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; 28 God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, 29 so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. 30 And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, 31 so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

Good morning, it is by grace you were called, just as you were, were you called by the grace of God. Remain in God's steadfast love, humbled by his love which we see by the price he paid on the cross.

Angel, Matt and Larry, coming out of the Iron Sharpens Iron Equipping Conference. It's good to meet with men to knock some of the nicked spots that hinder our service to the Lord as men. Uplift men, next year, the event is on February 27, 2027. Come with us!

In today's age there is always something we want God to do for us. We believe v. 1 and 3 but stagger at v. 6 because we can catch ourselves at times doubting what God says is possible for them that believe. At the end of v. 6., scripture says God is the rewarder of them that diligent seek him. Amen

It is written in Isaiah 55:6, "Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call upon him while he is near." -KVJ

Time is wrapping up, put aside your thoughts and your ways and seek the face and the word of God "Now."

Good morning as we gather at the Lord’s house or stream a service this morning, we welcome the first Sunday of 2026 in this new year. May we remember the ultimate sacrifice Christ Jesus paid for our sins. May we reflect upon ourselves, and consider a sacrifice that may be on our part to get back to Church. A sacrifice that can be hard for many, not so hard for some, and not a sacrifice for others. You are welcome to join us in fellowship among like believers of a Triune God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. UPLIFT CHURCH ON KERNAN, invite you to learn of his ways, grow in his love, and live according to his will. You are welcome here.
