Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church

Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church We are a Roman Catholic parish deep in the heart of East Texas. We have grown to 1,200 families registered and more than 4,000 parishioners.

Our parish was founded by the Missionaries of LaSalette in 1955, but Mass was first celebrated here on a regular basis in 1910! Approximately, 1,200 people attend Mass here every weekend. Three mission churches are a part of this parish: Sacred Heart Mission in Rusk, Our Lady of Guadalupe Mission in New Summerfield and Venerable Antonio Margil Mission n Alto.

Vacation Bible School Date Change Notice

Due to ongoing construction and renovations in the church hall, Vacation Bible School at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Jacksonville has been rescheduled.

VBS will now take place June 22–26.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to improve our parish facilities. If you have any questions, concerns, or if your child will no longer be able to attend due to the date change, please reach out to us as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience and continued support. We look forward to a wonderful week of faith, fun, and fellowship with all of our VBS families!

We still have plenty of spots available, but we need more children registered soon so we can prepare for an amazing VBS this year! 📖✨
