St. Peter & St. Paul - AOCC

St. Peter & St. Paul - AOCC Hello dear friend. Welcome to Saint Peter and Saint Paul Church of America. But we invite you to come and see what makes Orthodoxy different. Amen

We are an Orthodox Church, and we are here to share with you the true faith once delivered to the saints. Here in Jacksonville, Florida, there are many churches, temples and other places of worship. Or if you are Orthodox, welcome back home. If you look around, you will notice that our church is adorned with icons, the traditional religious pictures used by Orthodox Christians since the very begin

ning. They are not idols and we do not worship them, but rather icons of the saints and other holy figures that have helped spread the Orthodox faith throughout the world. And they remind us of the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist, which we receive each Sunday during Divine Liturgy, this is the central act of worship in the Orthodox Church. Our church services are in English, so you can fully experience the the beauty and tradition of the early Church. Speaking of tradition, you may be wondering why do Orthodox churches have such beautiful icons and chants? Why do we venerate the relics of holy people? Why do we light so many candles? Why do we make the sign of the cross? And why do we bow to the ground before receiving Holy Communion? All these traditions and more have their roots in the teachings of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and the early Church. Though we hold fast to tradition, we also recognize the need for evangelization and sharing the Orthodox faith with everyone. We believe that Orthodoxy is a universal faith open to all people of all backgrounds. If you are searching for the truth, if you want to know more about Orthodoxy, or if you simply want to experience the warmth and fellowship of a truly caring community, we invite you to come and see us. May God bless you and enlighten your mind so that you may know the truth and the truth may set you free. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Good afternoon, church family, friends, and faithful followers!

We pray you are having a truly blessed weekend.

Today, we are asking for your help as we take a faithful step toward a dream we've been praying about for a long time: finding a permanent home for our church. We have launched a GoFundMe to help raise funds to purchase land and build a church or acquire an existing building where our congregation can worship, grow, and serve our community for generations to come.

Every gift, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to making this vision a reality. And if giving isn't possible right now, you can still make an incredible difference by sharing our GoFundMe with your family and friends. Sometimes a simple share is all it takes to reach the person God has prepared to help.

Most importantly, we ask for your prayers. Please pray that God will guide this journey, open the right doors, and continue to bless this ministry as we seek a place to call home.

Thank you for believing in our mission, for your generosity, and for walking this journey with us. Together, through God's grace, we can build more than a church—we can build a home where lives will be changed, faith will grow, and hope will flourish.

God bless you today and always. ❤️

Our beloved Archbishop Titus was honored to serve as the speaker for this year’s Juneteenth Prayer Service at the St. Nicholas National Shrine. We here at St. Peter & St. Paul of the AOCC extend sincere gratitude and love to Fr. Samuel Davis and the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America (GOARCH) for their gracious invitation and warm hospitality.

Gathering together in the spirit of Christian unity, we were reminded that our shared faith transcends all earthly distinctions and calls us into deeper communion with one another as members of the Body of Christ. May the bonds of fellowship between the AOCC and GOARCH continue to be strengthened through prayer, mutual love, and faithful service to the Gospel.

As our Lord prayed, “that they all may be one” (John 17:21), may we strive toward the fulfillment of His holy prayer, remaining united in Christ and bearing witness to His truth, love, and salvation for all.
