Who is Jesus?

This Sunday, we were reminded from Colossians 1 that Jesus is supreme and sufficient. He is Lord over creation, the conqueror of death, and the Savior of sinners.

Because He created us and gave His life to reconcile us to God, Jesus deserves the #1 place in our lives.

Jesus is all we need.

A Prayer You Can Always Pray. 🙏

“Lord, fill me with the knowledge of Your will so I can live a life that pleases You.”

That’s the prayer Paul prayed in Colossians 1—and it’s a prayer we can pray every day.

When Jesus is over everything, our lives should bear fruit, grow in knowing Him, endure with patience, and overflow with gratitude.

More of Christ. More fruit. A life that pleases Him.

JESUS OVER EVERYTHING.

Today we began a new journey through the book of Colossians with a powerful reminder: Jesus Christ is supreme and sufficient over every single thing in our lives.

The world will tell us that we need something more—more answers, more success, more fulfillment, more religion. But the gospel points us back to one truth: Christ alone is enough.

As we walk through Colossians, our prayer is that we would see Jesus more clearly, trust Him more fully, and make Him first in every area of our lives.

Because when Jesus is truly at the center, He isn’t simply part of everything.

Jesus is over everything.

The Habit of Giving —— We Give Because He Gave

Christianity begins with a God who gives.

He gave us life.
He gave us grace.
He gave His Son.
He gave us what we could never earn on our own.

So when we give, we’re not trying to get God to love us more. We give because He has already given so much to us.

Generosity is our response to grace.

We give because He first gave.
