Kicked off our St. John’s Summer fun reading club this weekend in response to Pope Leo’s urging everyone to READ! Over 180 books went home with parishioners to enjoy, read, return and pick new ones! Happy reading!!

Yesterday Creative Saints, Linda Trinadad, Lynda Marquardt, Susan, Tomlinson, and Debbie Early all went to visit the women’s health centers. They went to the Landing and to the University locations with donations of our diaper cakes and gift bags to their facilities.

They were very thankful and loved EVERYTHING! Thank you to the Creative Saints! You are amazing!

Time flies! 9 years ago today Father Mark Waters offered me the opportunity to work for Our Catholic Church ( St John the Baptist Catholic Church) I felt woefully unworthy for the responsibility-but between Fr Mark’s guidance & DOSA’s office of Christian Formation ( thanks Erin McGeever) & the MFP program , then the opportunity to work with Fr Rafael & Fr Anthony I grew in my faith & ability to serve our St John’s parish. Now, I truly love my ‘job’ & love what I do. So thanks Fr Mark- I’m at a place in my life that I never imagined and it is where I belong. Remember these clouds above St. John’s that we saw in the sky during my first week? A sign 😊🙏

This weekend is our May Crowning at our Sat. 5pm and Sun. 9am and 11am masses. We are asking Families to bring in a fresh flower for Mary at mass.
