"MATURITY, WE MUST GROW UP IN CHRIST"
(Stay about our Father’s business)

(Luke 22:42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.)

This verse captures the ultimate moment of Jesus’ submission to God the Father in the Garden of Gethsemane, just before His betrayal and crucifixion. We see Jesus as the perfect example as to how we ought to submit today.

*Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done: Despite His human side exhibiting a fleshly desire, Jesus ultimately chose complete obedience to the Father's plan. (Matthew 26:42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.) And (John 6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.)

Remember, like Jesus by surrendering His own desires, He prioritized the salvation of humanity above His own comfort which was the Father’s will.✨️

ARE YOU WHEAT OR TARE?

(Matthew 13:24-30 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.) And (Luke 3:17)"Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable."

"BE SPIRIT FILLED"
(Let the Holy Spirit control our actions)

(Ephesians 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;)

This verse warns against relying on substances such as alcohol, drugs and certain medications that lead to loss of control, and instead commands us (believers) to be continually guided and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

*Wherein is excess: The word "excess" translates to reckless living, debauchery, or a state of being completely out of control. When a person is intoxicated, the substance dictates their actions and impairs their judgment. (Luke 15:13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.) ; (1 Peter 4:3 For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:)

*Be filled with the Spirit: This is a direct command. Which means "CONTROL". Just as alcohol controls an intoxicated person, the Holy Spirit is meant to govern, influence, and empower the life of a Christian. (Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.) ; (Acts 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.) And (Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.)

Remember, (Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.)✨️

"THE TRUTH"
(It separates)

(2 Corinthians 6:7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,)

The verse means that we (believers) face trials and spiritual warfare, but we are fully equipped by God. We defend ourelves using the "word of truth" and "power of God", relying on righteous living as armor to protect us in every direction (both "right and left").

*By the word of truth: Refers to the faithful preaching and defense of the Gospel. (John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.) ; (Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.) And (Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.)

Remember, (Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.)✨️

"DON'T TURN BACK"
(Nothing's worth going back)

(Proverbs 26:11 As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.)

This verse describes the self-destructive nature of repeating mistakes or returning to our sinful habits as a dog eating what it has regurgitated.

*A fool returneth to his folly: The "fool" is someone who lacks moral wisdom that repeatedly returns to sins, bad habits, or toxic situations that they know have already caused them harm. (Luke 17:32 Remember Lot's wife.) ; (2 Peter 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.)

Remember, this warning against making temporary changes without true repentance and a lasting transformation. True repentance requires recognizing a mistake and turning away from it permanently then turning to God living it out, rather than going back to behaviors we know are bad for us.✨️
