"MATURITY, WE MUST GROW UP IN CHRIST"
(Stay about our Father’s business)
(Luke 22:42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.)
This verse captures the ultimate moment of Jesus’ submission to God the Father in the Garden of Gethsemane, just before His betrayal and crucifixion. We see Jesus as the perfect example as to how we ought to submit today.
*Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done: Despite His human side exhibiting a fleshly desire, Jesus ultimately chose complete obedience to the Father's plan. (Matthew 26:42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.) And (John 6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.)
Remember, like Jesus by surrendering His own desires, He prioritized the salvation of humanity above His own comfort which was the Father’s will.✨️
Beloved, stay encouraged ✝️
