Quran recitation and explanation at Fajr:

Surah al-Hijr:
فَلَمَّا جَاءَ آلَ لُوطٍ الْمُرْسَلُونَ ﴿٦١﴾
61. And when the envoys came to Lot’s family.

قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ قَوْمٌ مُنْكَرُونَ ﴿٦٢﴾
62. He said, “You are a people unknown to me.”

قَالُوا بَلْ جِئْنَاكَ بِمَا كَانُوا فِيهِ يَمْتَرُونَ ﴿٦٣﴾
63. They said, “We bring you what they used to doubt.”

وَأَتَيْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ وَإِنَّا لَصَادِقُونَ ﴿٦٤﴾
64. “And we come to you with the truth, and we are truthful.”

Reciting and explaining the following verses:

﴿ قَالَ فَمَا خَطۡبُكُمۡ أَيُّهَا ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ ﴾
[ الحجر: 57]
[Ibrahim (Abraham) again] said: "What then is the business on which you have come, O Messengers?"

﴿ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّآ أُرۡسِلۡنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمٖ مُّجۡرِمِينَ ﴾
[ الحجر: 58]
They (the angels) said: "We have been sent to a people who are Mujrimun (criminals, wrongdoers, sinners).

﴿ إِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطٍ إِنَّا لَمُنَجُّوهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِينَ ﴾
[ الحجر: 59]
"(All) except the family of Lout (Lot). Them all we are surely going to save (from destruction).

﴿ إِلَّا ٱمۡرَأَتَهُۥ قَدَّرۡنَآ إِنَّهَا لَمِنَ ٱلۡغَٰبِرِينَ ﴾
[ الحجر: 60]
"Except his wife, of whom We have decreed that she shall be of those who remain behind (i.e. she will be destroyed)."

Reciting and explaining the following verses:

وَنَبِّئْهُمْ عَن ضَيْفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ [الحِجر: 51].
And inform them about the guests of Abraham,

إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا سَلَامًا قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمْ وَجِلُونَ [الحجر: 52].
When they entered upon him and said, "Peace." [Abraham] said, "Indeed, we are fearful of you."

قَالُوا لَا تَوْجَلْ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَامٍ عَلِيمٍ [الحجر: 53].
[The angels] said, "Fear not. Indeed, we give you good tidings of a learned boy."

قَالَ أَبَشَّرْتُمُونِي عَلَىٰ أَن مَّسَّنِيَ الْكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ [الحجر: 54].
He said, "Have you given me good tidings although old age has come upon me? Then of what [wonder] do you inform?"

قَالُوا بَشَّرْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ الْقَانِطِينَ [الحجر: 55].
They said, "We have given you good tidings in truth, so do not be of the despairing."

قَالَ وَمَن يَقْنَطُ مِن رَّحْمَةِ رَبِّهِ إِلَّا الضَّالُّونَ [الحجر: 56]
He said, "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord except for those astray?"
