The kind of worship where you look around and everybody is in it — singing, praising, praying, smiling, and just grateful to be together.

No long explanation needed.
The atmosphere said enough. 💜

There’s just something special about First Sunday at Saint Stephen. 💜

Today, we gathered around the Lord’s table, lifted our voices in worship, prayed together, loved on one another, and were reminded once again of the blessing of being connected as a church family.

From the choir loft to the Communion table, from quiet moments of prayer to joyful praise, God met us in the room.

We’re grateful for another Sunday to worship together, receive from God, and share in the fellowship of the saints.

💙 Join us as the Super South District celebrates outstanding leadership!

On Saturday, September 26 at 3:00 PM, we will gather for “Power in Praise: Celebrating the Goodness of God through Godly Leadership” as we honor Presiding Elder Karl V. Smith, Sr. and Consultant Diane M. Smith for their faithful service, leadership, and continued commitment to the work of God.

This will be a special afternoon of praise, gratitude, fellowship, and celebration as we give thanks for leaders who have poured into churches, communities, and the life of the district.

We’re proud to support our very own Brother Quintin Jones as he shares his story during “Prostate Health Matters: Survivor Stories – The Power of Early Detection.”

Join the iCCaRE Consortium on Friday, September 4 at 12:00 PM ET for an important conversation centered on prostate health, survivorship, and the life-saving importance of early detection.

We celebrate Brother Jones for using his voice and his experience to help educate and encourage others. Conversations like these matter, and we’re grateful to see one of our own helping bring awareness to such an important issue.

Some barriers were never meant to stop you. They were meant to reveal what God put in you. 🔥

Sunday, Pastor Jarrett Britton Washington reminded us through “You Are a Barrier Breaker!” that God can use any situation to get our attention, redirect us, and move us toward purpose.

You may see the fire — but you will not be burned.

We worshiped, we received the Word, and we left reminded that when God is calling you forward, no barrier gets the final say.

You are a barrier breaker. 🙌🏾🔥

What a powerful Fifth Sunday at Saint Stephen! 🙌🏾

Our Male Chorus served as the choir, and the entire church family joined together in worship, praise, and fellowship.

Pastor Jarrett Britton Washington preached from Exodus 3:1 with the message “You Are a Barrier Breaker!” reminding us that God can use anything and any situation to get through to us — and even when we encounter the fire, we will not be burned.

Sometimes the very thing that gets our attention is the thing God uses to shift our direction, strengthen our faith, and move us toward purpose.

We left encouraged to keep listening, keep trusting, and keep moving when God calls.
