Daily reading and meditation on the Word of God is critical for every Christian this side of heaven. Consider what you read all day long. Pray those words back to God.

Psalm 46
1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, 3 though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah

4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. 5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.

6 The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; He utters His voice, the earth melts.

7 Yahweh of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah

8 Come, behold the works of Yahweh, how He has brought desolations on the earth. 9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; He burns the chariots with fire.

10 “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

11 Yahweh of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah

Psalm 44
22 Yet for Your sake we are killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.

23 Awake! Why are You sleeping, O Yahweh? Rouse Yourself! Do not reject us forever! 24 Why do You hide Your face? Why do You forget our affliction and oppression? 25 For our soul is bowed down to the dust; our belly clings to the ground.

26 Rise up; come to our help! Redeem us for the sake of Your steadfast love!

Psalm 42
1 As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for You, O God. 2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God? 3 My tears have been my food day and night, while they say to me all the day long, “Where is your God?”

4 These things I remember, as I pour out my soul: how I would go with the throng and lead them in procession to the house of God with glad shouts and songs of praise, a multitude keeping festival.

5 Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise Him, my salvation 6 and my God.

Psalm 34
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all. 20 He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.

21 Affliction will slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned.

22 Yahweh redeems the life of His servants; none of those who take refuge in Him will be condemned.

Psalm 32
1 Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. 2 Blessed is the man against whom Yahweh counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.

3 For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. 4 For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. Selah

5 I acknowledged my sin to You, and I did not cover my iniquity;
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh,” and You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah

Come to church today!

By the gift of God we reach each new day. Begin by reading and meditating on the Word of God. All day pray back to Him what you have read. "May Yahweh give strength to His people! May Yahweh bless His people with peace!"

Psalm 29
1 Ascribe to Yahweh, O heavenly beings, ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength. 2 Ascribe to Yahweh the glory due His name; worship Yahweh in the splendor of holiness.

3 The voice of Yahweh is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, Yahweh, over many waters. 4 The voice of Yahweh is powerful; the voice of Yahweh is full of majesty. 5 The voice of Yahweh breaks the cedars; Yahweh breaks the cedars of Lebanon. 6 He makes Lebanon to skip like a calf, and Sirion like a young wild ox.

7 The voice of Yahweh flashes forth flames of fire. 8 The voice of Yahweh shakes the wilderness; Yahweh shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. 9 The voice of Yahweh makes the deer give birth and strips the forests bare, and in his temple all cry, “Glory!”

10 Yahweh sits enthroned over the flood; Yahweh sits enthroned as king forever.

11 May Yahweh give strength to His people! May Yahweh bless His people with peace!

The journey ahead is too difficult for you on your own. Every day begin by reading and meditating on the Word of God. Then pray back to God what you have read. "Yahweh is the strength of His people; He is the saving refuge of His anointed. Oh, save Your people and bless Your heritage! Be their shepherd and carry them forever."

Psalm 28
1 To you, O Yahweh, I call; my rock, be not deaf to me, lest, if You be silent to me, I become like those who go down to the pit.

2 Hear the voice of my pleas for mercy, when I cry to You for help,
when I lift up my hands toward Your most holy sanctuary.

3 Do not drag me off with the wicked, with the workers of evil, who speak peace with their neighbors while evil is in their hearts. 4 Give to them according to their work and according to the evil of their deeds; give to them according to the work of their hands; render them their due reward. 5 Because they do not regard the works of Yahweh or the work of His hands, He will tear them down and build them up no more.

6 Blessed be Yahweh! For He has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy. 7 Yahweh is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to Him.

8 Yahweh is the strength of His people; He is the saving refuge of His anointed. 9 Oh, save Your people and bless Your heritage! Be their shepherd and carry them forever.

Start every day reading and meditating on the Word of God. Then pray back to God what you have read. The days ahead will most definitely "try men's souls..."

Psalm 27
1 Yahweh is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 2 When evildoers assail me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and foes, it is they who stumble and fall...

5 For He will hide me in His shelter in the day of trouble; He will conceal me under the cover of His tent; He will lift me high upon a rock...

7 Hear, O Yahweh, when I cry aloud; be gracious to me and answer me...

11 Teach me Your way, O Yahweh, and lead me on a level path because of my enemies. 12 Give me not up to the will of my adversaries; for false witnesses have risen against me, and they breathe out violence.

13 I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living! 14 Wait for Yahweh; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for Yahweh!
