Our Presiding Elder!

Throwback to when Reverend Dr. Erlinda C. Dobson,was a 2004 Master of Divinity graduate of Hood Theological Seminary. She is a trailblazing leader in the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. In 2012 she became the first woman appointed Presiding Elder of the New Bern District of the North Carolina Conference, providing spiritual and administrative oversight to nineteen congregations across eastern North Carolina. In this role she has mentored pastors, strengthened congregational growth, and guided churches through community challenges, including disaster recovery efforts following major hurricanes, while continuing her commitment to discipleship and community advocacy.
