🎲🔥 FAMILY GAME NIGHT IS THIS FRIDAY! 🔥🎲

Listen… friendships may be tested.
Uno cards may be thrown.
Someone WILL insist they “didn’t know that was the rule.” 😂

But at the end of the night, it’s all about one thing: BUILDING COMMUNITY! ❤️

Join us Friday at 6PM for Family Game Night!

🍗 POTLUCK STYLE — bring something good to share. And yes, desserts absolutely count as a food group.

🎲 BRING A GAME — cards, board games, whatever gets people around the table.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 BRING YOUR PEOPLE — family, friends, somebody you’ve been wanting to get connected.

At Connection Church, we believe church is more than sitting in rows on Sunday. We’re building relationships, doing life together, and creating a community where people belong.

So bring a dish, grab a seat, and prepare to discover who at Connection Church cannot be trusted during a board game. 👀😂

Did you know??

Every Tuesday from 6:30-7:30 PM, the sanctuary Is open to our brothers and sisters for a time of prayer.

It's not just for the prayer team.

Many have used this time to cover their needs in prayer
Many have used this time to read the Word
Many have used this time to sit in stillness to be with the Lord Many have used this time to pray over the needs of the church

Come for 5 minutes or for the full hour.

There is worship to prepare our spirits then break off to use the hour how you feel led.

The prayer team is available for one on one prayer during this time.

The power of prayer is real. Let the Lord be your first line of defense, not the last.

When you take Sunday’s sermon on Called to Grow a little too literally…

Genesis 2:18 says, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make a helper suitable for him.”

Apparently sometimes that helper’s job is just to hold the ladder. 😂🪜

But there’s actually some truth hiding in the meme.

Sunday we talked about the fact that we are called to GROW — but God never intended for us to grow alone.

🌱 We grow together.
👥 Your community shapes your growth.
🤝 Sometimes you need someone willing to steady the ladder while you climb.
❤️ And sometimes you need to be the person holding the ladder for somebody else.

We weren’t meant to do life alone. We are better together.

Find your people. Build community. Hold the ladder.

And for the love of OSHA…maybe don’t hold it like this guy. 😂😂😂

Brothers and sisters, we will be hosting a Back to School Prayer hour on Tuesday August 25th from 6:30-7:30pm. Meet us in the sanctuary and let's pray over every student, teacher and staff member in Onslow county. There will be prayer points, prayer sheets and lists of every school in our county to lean in and pray over.
The prayer team will also be available for personal one on one prayer as well.

Let's fight for our students, their school year and for our schools through prayer!

As we reflect on Sunday’s message, remember this truth: You are called.

God’s calling isn’t reserved for pastors, missionaries, or people with a ministry title. If you belong to Jesus, you have been called, and your calling is bigger than any position, assignment, or season.

So as we finish this week, here’s a practical step:

Take five minutes and ask God:
“Am I faithfully living as someone You have called right where You’ve placed me?”

Then identify one area where you can respond with greater faithfulness before the week ends.

You don’t have to figure out your entire future.

Be faithful today.

Follow. Grow. Serve. Go.
That’s the life we’ve been called to.

Good evening prayer warriors,
We are looking forward to another hour of prayer tomorrow evening in the sanctuary. The church is moving more and more into the posture of prayer. Join us to have this time for personal reflection, ministry prayer, intercessory prayer over the needs of the church and our brothers and sisters or just quiet time and be still in the Lords presence.
Whatever the need, use this time to be with other church families and to connect with the Lord during your week.
Prayer hour begins with worship at 6:30 then moves into our time in prayer. We hope you come!
