We have an election! The Rev. J. Randolph (Randy) Alexander, Jr. has been elected on the third ballot as the ninth Bishop of Florida. Many thanks to our clergy and lay delegates for their service to the diocese, and for all the work of diocesan staff and the many, many volunteers it took to make this day happen.

Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously on your Church, and so guide the mind of Randy, bishop-elect for the Diocese of Florida, that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries.

Good morning, Good Shepherd! 🐑♰🌞 Join us for worship this morning at 8 & 10am! We're very happy to welcome Hannah Bardin, Director of Children, Youth, and Families at Church of Our Savior, as our guest preacher.

Between our services, we have a fun experience in store! We'll hold an adult Godly Play open house, allowing grownups to experience our children's Sunday programming firsthand.

After worship, we are thrilled to begin our multi-week formation series on baptism 🌊🕊 If you've ever been curious about this sacrament, its meaning, or its significance in our lives and the life of the Church, this is a wonderful opportunity for a deep dive. Feel free to join us after grabbing some coffee and a snack in Craig Lounge! ☕️

Good morning, Good Shepherd! It's Rally Day! 🎉🎊 Join us this morning at 8 & 10am for worship, with the Rev. Elyse Gustafson preaching. We welcome back our choir from summer recess! 🎶

The tradition of Rally Day dates back to the late 19th century Sunday School movement, the very movement through which Good Shepherd got its start. It's our way of bringing everyone back together after the summer break and introducing our programming for the year. Join us after worship for a joyful potluck in Betsy Lovett Hall!

Big things happening at Good Shepherd! 🙌🐑🙌 TL;DR: we have four incredible humans in new roles helping to lead our mission and programming.

Laura Ammons, formerly our Bookkeeper, is now Director of Finance & Administration. She oversees financial administration, vendor management, and tracking down details like nobody's business.

Zach Goldstein, who led our rebrand and website launch over the past year, now fills the new role of Creative Director, leading social media, livestream production, and overseeing our visual identity and messaging. Yes, he's still singing in the choir.

Shannon Dell, who has led Children, Youth, and Families for the past several years, will shift to serve as our Director of Children's Education, using her many talents to focus more exclusively on our youngest parishioners.

Last, and certainly not least, we are *thrilled* to welcome Danielle Sargent as our Director of Children's Music, where she will offer age-tailored music education courses to our youth. Did we mention she's conservatory-trained?? A huge thanks to Tot Gillis and Gregory Taggart for their support of this newly formed role!

We are overjoyed to have these folks on our team, alongside ALL of our wonderful parish staff who keep everything oiled and running at Good Shepherd.

Good morning, Good Shepherd! 🐑🌞 Join us for worship this morning at 8 & 10am! In addition to Eucharist, we'll be celebrating the sacrament of Holy Baptism; we're thrilled to have our own Rev. Gee Alexander preaching.

After worship, join us for a combined Coffee Hour + Town Hall in Craig Lounge. This is an wonderful opportunity to discuss Good Shepherd's leadership transition, as well as the upcoming changes happening at the Diocesan level! ☕️🎤

Yesterday, our outreach team delivered literal trunkloads of school supplies to Central Riverside Elementary to help kick off the school year! 📓✏️🏫

We cannot thank our outreach folks and those who donated enough for their time, commitment, and dedication to making teachers' lives easier. At a time when school budgets can be razor thin, these acts of kindness can mean so much to the people who educate and empower our next generation.
