🌿 A Blessed Pastoral Visit to Jacksonville 🌿

The St. Thekla Melkite Catholic Community in Jacksonville was greatly blessed to welcome His Excellency Bishop François Beyrouti for his second pastoral visit to our growing community within the past six months.

During his visit from June 5–6, Bishop Beyrouti spent time with the faithful, offering his fatherly presence, encouragement, and pastoral support. He celebrated the Divine Liturgy with the community and joined parishioners for a joyful fellowship breakfast and lunch, providing a wonderful opportunity for prayer, conversation, and strengthening the bonds of our spiritual family.

We are deeply grateful for Bishop Beyrouti’s continued care, support, and commitment to the faithful of Jacksonville. His visits remind us that we are an important part of the Melkite Catholic Church and encourage us as we continue to grow in faith, unity, and service.

Thank you, Sayedna, for your love, prayers, and leadership. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

تشرفت جماعة القديسة تقلا للروم الملكيين الكاثوليك في جاكسونفيل باستقبال سيادة المطران فرنسوا بيروتي في زيارته الراعوية الثانية إلى جماعتنا المتنامية خلال الأشهر الستة الماضية.

وخلال زيارته في 5 و6 حزيران/يونيو، أمضى سيادته وقتًا مع المؤمنين، مقدمًا حضوره الأبوي وتشجيعه ودعمه الرعوي. كما ترأس القداس الإلهي وشارك أبناء الجماعة فطورًا وغداءً احتفاليين، مما أتاح فرصة جميلة للصلاة والحوار وتعزيز الروابط الأخوية داخل عائلتنا الروحية.

إننا نعرب عن امتناننا العميق لسيادة المطران بيروتي على رعايته المستمرة ودعمه واهتمامه بأبناء الكنيسة الملكية الكاثوليكية في جاكسونفيل. إن زياراته تذكرنا بأننا جزء حي ومهم من كنيستنا، وتشجعنا على مواصلة النمو في الإيمان والوحدة والخدمة.

📖❤️ A Transformative Family Retreat with Bishop François Beyrouti ❤️📖

During his recent visit to Jacksonville, His Excellency Bishop François Beyrouti offered a powerful and inspiring retreat on the family, the challenges facing families today, and how the Gospel of Jesus Christ remains the path to healing, unity, and hope.

More than 100 participants attended the retreat and were blessed by the wisdom, practical guidance, and spiritual insights shared by Bishop Beyrouti. Drawing from the Book of Genesis, he reflected on God’s original plan for marriage and family and reminded us that a strong family begins with a strong relationship with Christ.

One of the highlights of the retreat was Bishop Beyrouti’s presentation of the Four R’s:

🔹 Read – Read and reflect on the Word of God daily.
🔹 Repent – Turn back to God with humility and sincerity.
🔹 Reach Out – Support one another and remain connected as a family and community.
🔹 Repeat – Continue this spiritual journey every day.

The retreat provided valuable lessons, practical tools, and encouragement for strengthening marriages, supporting children, deepening faith, and building stronger families rooted in Christ.

We are grateful to Bishop Beyrouti for sharing his time, wisdom, and pastoral care with our community. It was truly a blessing for all who attended.

May God continue to bless our families and keep Christ at the center of our homes.

📖❤️ خلوة روحية مميزة عن العائلة مع سيادة المطران فرنسوا بيروتي ❤️📖

خلال زيارته الأخيرة إلى جاكسونفيل، قدّم سيادة المطران فرنسوا بيروتي خلوة روحية غنية ومميزة حول العائلة والتحديات التي تواجهها اليوم، وكيف أن الإنجيل والتعلق بالمسيح هما الطريق إلى الشفاء والوحدة والرجاء.

شارك في هذه الخلوة أكثر من 100 شخص واستفادوا من التعليم الروحي العميق والإرشادات العملية والنصائح القيمة التي قدّمها سيادته لدعم العائلة وتقوية العلاقات بين أفرادها.

واستند المطران بيروتي في تعليمه إلى سفر التكوين، متأملًا في خطة الله الأصلية للعائلة، ومؤكدًا أن العائلة القوية تبدأ بعلاقة حية وثابتة مع المسيح.

كما قدّم سيادته مبدأ “الـ R الأربعة”:

🔹 Read – اقرأ: اقرأ كلمة الله وتأمل فيها يوميًا.
🔹 Repent – تب: ارجع إلى الله بقلب متواضع وتائب.
🔹 Reach Out – تواصل: مدّ يدك للآخرين وادعم أفراد عائلتك ومجتمعك.
🔹 Repeat – كرر: واظب على هذه المسيرة الروحية كل يوم.

لقد كانت الخلوة مصدر بركة كبيرة للجميع، حيث قدّمت دروسًا عملية وروحية قيّمة حول تقوية الزواج، ودعم الأبناء، وتعميق الإيمان، وبناء عائلات متجذرة في المسيح.

نشكر سيادة المطران فرنسوا بيروتي على محبته ورعايته وتعليمه الأبوي، ونصلي أن يبارك الله خدمته ويمنحه سنوات عديدة مملوءة بالثمار الروحية.

🇺🇸 ⚖️ Celebrating the Investiture of Judge Jordan Pratt

The St. Thekla Melkite Catholic Community in Jacksonville extends its heartfelt congratulations to The Honorable Judge Jordan Pratt on his investiture as a United States District Judge for the Middle District of Florida, Jacksonville Division.

Judge Pratt’s investiture ceremony was held on June 5, 2026, at the Bryan Simpson United States Courthouse in Jacksonville, marking an important milestone in his distinguished legal career and public service. Judge Pratt was commissioned to the federal bench in November 2025 and serves the Jacksonville Division of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

We were especially honored that His Excellency Bishop François Beyrouti, Bishop of the Melkite Catholic Eparchy of Newton, offered the Invocation during this meaningful ceremony.

As a valued member of our community, Judge Pratt has always demonstrated integrity, faith, dedication, and commitment to serving others. The St. Thekla Melkite Catholic Community is proud of his accomplishments and fully supports him as he begins this important chapter of judicial service.

تتقدم جماعة القديسة تقلا الملكية الكاثوليكية في جاكسونفيل بأحرّ التهاني إلى القاضي الموقر جوردان برات بمناسبة تنصيبه قاضيًا في المحكمة الفيدرالية للولايات المتحدة للمنطقة الوسطى من ولاية فلوريدا – دائرة جاكسونفيل.

وقد أُقيمت مراسم التنصيب في الخامس من حزيران/يونيو 2026 في مبنى محكمة براين سيمبسون الفيدرالية في جاكسونفيل، في محطة مهمة من مسيرته القانونية والخدمة العامة. ويشغل القاضي برات منصبه في المحكمة الفيدرالية منذ تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2025.

كما تشرفنا بمشاركة سيادة المطران فرنسوا بيروتي، أسقف أبرشية نيوتن للروم الملكيين الكاثوليك، الذي قدّم صلاة الافتتاح (Invocation) خلال هذه المناسبة المميزة.

إن القاضي جوردان برات هو عضو عزيز في جماعتنا، وقد عُرف دائمًا بنزاهته وإيمانه والتزامه بخدمة المجتمع. ونحن في جماعة القديسة تقلا نفتخر به ونؤكد دعمنا الكامل له في هذه المسؤولية القضائية الرفيعة.

🙏🍕 A blessed and joyful evening at the first Men’s Group social gathering of St. Thekla Melkite Catholic Community!

The evening began with a beautiful prayer led by Peter Nader, followed by dinner, fellowship, and meaningful discussions about upcoming church projects and ways to continue building and serving our community together.

We are grateful for the spirit of brotherhood, faith, and unity shared by everyone who attended. A special thank you to the owner and staff of Brooklyn Pizza for their warm hospitality and generosity in hosting us.
