Sermon Sentence: You need the Holy Ghost.
Sermon Notes:
1. God have called each of us as members to be ministers.
2. Each member is a minister and the ministry of the kingdom is to convey a message.
3. The Holy Ghost is not an it. The Holy Ghost is a person. Who has a mission, a ministry, and a message.
4. The Holy Ghost is God in a supernatural power and is for every believer.
5. The day of Pentecost is 50 days after the celebration of the Passover known as the Feast of Pentecost.
6. God has the power to transform any life.
7. Peter does not begin to preach until the Holy Spirit has given him power.
8. In the 21st verses of Acts 2 is the answer to Jesus prayer. Christ prayed in John 17. Christ prayer was “God Make Them One”
9. The disciples are in the upper room. They’re altogether, sitting, and waiting.
10. The Holy Spirit is a person, the Holy Spirit is a teacher, the Holy Spirit is intelligent and will make you wise.
11. God confused their language where they could no longer communicate to one another because they all were speaking a foreign language.
12. Two instances of how God moves. God moved through the wind and the pouring of water. Water and wind is sometimes symbolic of the spirit.
13. If God can change Peter. He can change you.
14. God pours out his spirit everywhere.
15. The point Luke is making to Theophilus is the Holy Spirit will remain in his disciples until the end.
16. The Holy Spirit would teach, train, and direct you.
17. The Holy Spirit, shows up on the day of Pentecost to empower his disciples to proclaim the gospel.
17. The gospel is not just inclusive of his death, burial, and resurrection, but it also is inclusive of his ascension and his return.
