The Diocese of Florida is celebrating Camp W**d's 102nd year on Sunday, May 31! Much is being made new in year 102! New roofs. Renovated cabin bathrooms. A refreshed conference center and chapel. Kitchen upgrades. HVAC improvements. Road repairs. A record number of camper scholarships. And a search for a brand-new Director as Camp W**d steps boldly into its next chapter.

Camp W**d & Cerveny Conference Center has been a holy and transformative place for the Diocese of Florida for over a century —a space where people of all ages encounter God, find rest and renewal, and grow deeper in faith. Now it is being restored and renewed, and the excitement is contagious.

We rejoice in the great work the Lord is doing at Camp W**d, and we invite you to celebrate, pray, and give towards the next 100 years. The good work has just begun!

As the Schlueter organ restoration and expansion project continues this week, the organ crew took a moment to share about their work and about themselves! The St Paul’s by-the-Sea Choir visited the crew, having brought many questions about the organ crew’s work with some home-baked treats.

Check out these photos of the organ crew’s fascinating work and some moments of fellowship with choir members. We are so excited to celebrate our instrument, newly restored and expanded by the Schueter company, with an Organ Recital and Choral Evensong on May 24 at 4 pm. We hope to see you there!

Beaches Fine Arts continues its 53rd season with Evren Ozel, the Bronze Medalist of the 2025 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition on Friday, April 24 at 7:30 pm in the beautiful sanctuary. Join us at St. Paul's by the Sea Episcopal Church to hear this phenomenal pianist and meet him at a champagne reception in Christopher Lobby following the concert!

26 year-old American pianist Evren Ozel has been described as “an absolute wow” Third Coast Review and “an artist capable of lifting everyone to another level” La Scena Musicale, praised for his blend of technical mastery and compelling artistry. He is the Bronze Medalist of the 17th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition (2025), where he also received the special prize for the Best Performance of a Mozart Concerto. Evren has performed extensively throughout the United States and internationally, and is the recipient of a 2023 Avery Fisher Career Grant and a 2022 Salon de Virtuosi Career Grant. Since making his orchestral debut with the Minnesota Orchestra at age 11, Evren has appeared as soloist with the Cleveland Orchestra, Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, and our own Jacksonville Symphony.
