Thursday Motivational Moment:

One of the most dangerous things we can do is ignore what people consistently reveal because we are determined to see potential that does not exist. Sometimes we excuse toxic behavior because we want to believe the best. We overlook warning signs because we hope people will change. We silence discernment because we are emotionally attached to an image instead of reality.

But wisdom teaches us that character eventually speaks louder than charisma.

Everybody smiling in your face is not standing in your corner. There are wolves dressed in wool, manipulators masked in kindness, and individuals whose intentions are not pure. They can sit beside you in church, work beside you on the job, ride beside you in your vehicle, and still secretly work against your peace, purpose, progress, position and potential.

Many ask the question, “Why am I always the target?”

The answer may be simpler than you think: your trajectory is higher than the thinking of those around you. Your purpose, potential, and progress make some people uncomfortable. That is why you face constant criticism, repeated attacks, and unnecessary ridicule.

Some people cannot handle your growth because your elevation exposes their stagnation. Your discipline reminds them of their excuses. Your determination reveals their complacency.

So don’t allow opposition to discourage you. Often, the attack is confirmation that you are moving in the right direction. Eagles are criticized by those who were never meant to fly at that altitude.

This is why discernment is essential in this season of your life.

We must get to the position that we stop rewriting red flags into rescue missions,
confusing repeated behavior with isolated mistakes and ignoring what your spirit keeps warning you about.

People may stumble, people may grow, and people certainly deserve grace—but when someone repeatedly demonstrates dishonesty, deception, division, or disrespect, believe the evidence that is consistently before you.

Be blessed!!!

🎓✨ THE FINISH LINE IS IN SIGHT... AND EXTENDED! ✨🎓

Our hardworking Jackson High School seniors are preparing for their bright futures! Israel Temple CME Church, in partnership with MLC Charities, is raising $250 scholarships to cover vital "first-day" college expenses.

🙌 GREAT NEWS! Because so many of you asked to keep giving past our original April 30th deadline, we have officially extended our giving window to the end of May (May 31st)! With our celebration banquet coming up, we are incredibly close to our goal.

We need your help to cross the finish line! 🏃‍♂️💨

You don't have to sponsor a full $250 scholarship to make a difference. Every dollar counts—no amount is too small! Whether you can plant a seed of $10, $25, $50, or $100, your gift directly supports a graduate's transition to higher education. 🤝❤️

Monday Inspirational Message:

As Christians, we are called to confront darkness, challenge injustice, and expose evil when it reveals itself. There are moments when silence is not strength — it is surrender. There are seasons when we cannot allow wickedness, hatred, corruption, and demonic behavior to go unchallenged.

Some will call it confrontation. Others will say it gives negativity a platform. Yet throughout history, courageous and prophetic voices have always been criticized for speaking uncomfortable truths.

Martin Luther King Jr. confronted segregation, discrimination, and voter suppression despite the personal cost.

Malcolm X challenged hypocrisy and systemic racism with unapologetic boldness.

Harriet Tubman risked her life to lead enslaved people to freedom.

Fannie Lou Hamer stood against voter suppression declaring, “I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired.”

Nelson Mandela confronted apartheid despite imprisonment and persecution.

Jamal Bryant continues to challenge political systems and leaders he believes have abandoned the people.

Ben Crump continues to speak against injustice and alleged police brutality.

The common denominator is this: they refused to remain silent when silence was convenient.

As believers, we cannot become so comfortable that we stop confronting what is wrong. We cannot become so passive that we normalize confusion, corruption, cruelty, chaos, and compromise.

There comes a time when faith must have a voice, when conviction must confront compromise, and when the church must stand flat-footed and declare what is righteous, just, and true.

Because if we stand for nothing, we will fall for anything.

Perhaps one of the greatest dangers of this generation is not merely the presence of evil — but good people becoming too quiet, too fearful, too distracted, or too fatigued to confront it.

The Spirit was high, and a spiritual release was had during our family and friends service. You should’ve been there! Rev. Head gave us confidence as he spoke on "Facing Uncertain Times" - 1 Thessalonians 1:1-4. Plus, we had our community giveaway gifts, and the choir sang the rafters off the church! It was a Sunday to remember indeed.

Thank you, Colandra Taylor and Shanearah Taylor-Jackson, Taylor and Stephanie Head for a powerful service and wonderful meal afterward.
