Becoming debt-free would allow the church to focus more fully on community missions and ministry opportunities rather than financial obligations. "I am excited that our church is taking this step to retire the existing debt. As we seek to understand what God is leading us to in the near future, I think it is very important that we do all that we know to do to be in a position to obey as He leads.

My prayer is that God will do mighty things through us, His church, in and for the City of Jackson. As Ephesians 3:20 states, “… [He] is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Today marks Lisa's last day with us before she returns to China. We will greatly miss her contributions. Lillian Prewitt did an outstanding  job teaching Lisa at FBJ every Sunday morning. Lisa leaves with our prayers.
