Cherry Grove M.B. Church is celebrating our 89th Church Anniversary, and we invite you to celebrate with us the entire month of September! 🙌🏽⛪️

This year’s theme is “A Church Built to Last!” — Matthew 16:18. For 89 years, God has kept us, strengthened us, and allowed us to continue being Faith Focused • Bible Based • Community Minded • Spirit Led.

🙏🏾 BIG FAITH PRAYER | August 31

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for carrying us through another month. On this last day of August, we pause to recognize every prayer You answered, every danger You kept us from, every lesson You taught us, and even the doors You lovingly kept closed.

As we prepare to enter September, help us release what was never meant to follow us forward. Renew our minds, restore our strength, and give us wisdom for every decision ahead.

Lord, bless our families, homes, health, businesses, finances, children, marriages, ministries, dreams, and assignments. Give us discipline where we’ve been inconsistent, courage where we’ve been afraid, and peace where we’ve been carrying too much.

We don’t know everything September will bring, but we know Who goes before us.

Your Word says:

“Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.” — Proverbs 16:3 (KJV)

So today, we commit the next month to You. Order our steps. Protect what You’ve entrusted to us. Give us discernment to recognize the right opportunities and faith to walk away from the wrong ones.

May September be a month of obedience, consistency, growth, answered prayer, restored hope, and BIG FAITH.

We close August grateful — and we enter what’s next believing.

In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏾

Lord, thank You for what You've done so far! 🙏🏽

Heavenly Father, thank You for waking us up this morning and carrying us through yet another week. Thank You for every prayer You've answered, every door You've opened, every time You've made a way, and every blessing we've received that we didn't even see coming. You've been better to us than we could ever deserve.

Lord, as we go into the end of this week, we ask that You continue to cover our families, our church family, our community, and our children. Watch over every student walking into a classroom and every young adult beginning another semester of college. Give them wisdom, favor, protection, and peace.

Continue Lord to Be with every teacher, administrator, bus driver, cafeteria worker, custodian, and school employee. Strengthen them as they pour into the lives of others each day.

Lord, we also lift up those who are grieving, those facing illness, caregivers, first responders, healthcare workers, and anyone carrying a burden that others may not know about. Remind them they are never alone.

Help us all to walk in love, show kindness, and be the light You've called us to be. When life gets hard, help us trust You even more, knowing You're already working things out for our good. These and al things we ask and collectively Pray, Amen

Junior Usher and Deacons will serve this Sunday, 8/16. Please make sure they are in uniform (black bottoms and white top/shirt).
