Some believe that following some moral checklists and immersing oneself into biblical legalism can cure the sin nature. While the fact remains that we cannot save or sanctify ourselves, and the sin nature will always be present.

So, as long as we believers are in these bodies there will be a struggle with the “flesh” (indwelling sin) vs. the Spirit. And the cold hard truth is that God allows this to happen to create tension within that breaks our selfreliance, crushes our pride and produces deep humility.

In today’s message Pastor Corey dissects Romans 7 to show that if the Apostle Paul can be brutally honesty about his constant internal battle, that we the believers have the permission to stop pretending that we do not.

The ultimate healing nature of this message, the resolve of this text calls for us to trade self-sufficiency for God’s grace. Stop looking inward at your own performance and start looking upward at Christ’s finished work.

In Luke 24:49, Jesus spoke to His disciples about a power from on high that was going to come upon them, but they had no idea of what He was talking about.

He even shared that He would send a comforter who would be with them, and in them, but they were clueless to what he meant. He told them to go and tarry in Jerusalem. They went, and they didn’t even know what they were doing.

But they did what Jesus had told them to do, and in their obedience, the Day of Pentecost brought forth events that would change history forever. Listen to Pastor Corey as he speaks of this wonderfully powerful gift that God gives to us who believe.

Every believer destined for greatness must confront and overcome adversaries that seek to hinder divine advancement.

Every good work is filled with resistance, but those who are determined to advance cannot be stopped by external opposition. When God’s hand is upon your life, progress is possible even when enemies arise.
