To God be all the Glory! Thank you to our NMH members who journeyed over to Christian Union M.B. Church (Pastor Adrian & First Lady Cynthia Williams) to support Lady Dr. Jianwen Crump for their Annual Women’s Day Celebration (Evangelist Dorothy J. Briggs, Mission Ministry President). We are grateful for the opportunity to fellowship, worship, and celebrate with Christian Union M.B. Church Family.

Lady Ji blessed with a powerful Word from God and encouraged us to walk boldly in the power, love, and sound mind that God has given us. Under the theme, “Empowered Women: Spreading the Word of God | II Timothy 1:7 KJV!”

Bless God for Lady Ji’s heart to serve. She doesn’t just talk about serving, she lives it. Her willingness to pour into others, encourage, uplift, serve with love is your ministry. Lady Ji, thank you for allowing God to use you under the power of the Holy Spirit! Keep serving, keep smiling, and keep letting your light shine for Jesus!

Sunday, September 13, 2026 — Grandparents' Day
The Minors' Daily Reflection
A Legacy That Lives
💬 Quote of the Day:
"The greatest inheritance we can leave is a faith worth following and a love worth remembering." — M.O.M.
📖 Scripture:
"I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that lived first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice..." — 2 Timothy 1:5 (NRSVue)
📚 Story:
Every summer, a grandmother welcomed her grandchildren to her home for a few weeks. They remembered homemade breakfasts, afternoons on the porch, and stories about family members they had never met. But one memory remained stronger than all the others. Each night before bed, she gathered them for prayer. She prayed by name for every child and spoke confidently about what God could do through their lives. Years later, after she had gone home to be with the Lord, one grandson found himself facing a difficult decision. Sitting alone, he suddenly remembered hearing his grandmother pray his name. He said it felt as though her faith was still speaking. Her grandchildren inherited some of her possessions, but the greatest treasure she left behind could never be placed in a box.
💭 Reflection:
Grandparents occupy a special place in families. They connect generations, preserve stories, share wisdom, and often provide a kind of love that becomes a safe harbor throughout life. Scripture even gives us the beautiful example of Timothy, whose sincere faith had lived first in his grandmother Lois.
Today we celebrate biological grandparents, but we also honor the many elders who serve as grandparents in spirit—mentors, church mothers and fathers, neighbors, and family friends who pour wisdom and love into younger generations.
A godly legacy is not measured by money or possessions. It is measured by what continues living in others because you were here. Prayers can outlive us. Lessons can outlive us. Love can outlive us. Faith can travel through generations.
Whether you are a grandparent or someone shaping younger lives, give them something worth carrying forward.
🙏 Prayer:
Gracious God, thank You for grandparents and elders whose love, sacrifice, wisdom, and prayers have strengthened generations. Bless those still among us with health, joy, purpose, and meaningful relationships. Comfort families remembering grandparents who have gone before them. Help every generation value one another, share our stories, and faithfully pass along the knowledge of Your goodness. May our lives leave a legacy of faith and love. In Jesus' name, Amen.
🎯 Challenge:
Call, visit, or honor a grandparent or elder today. Ask them to share one life lesson or family story—and give them your full attention while they tell it.
