MONDAY UPDATES:
🥩🥓🍗One of my homeless folks is looking for a butcher shop job. Do you know anyone hiring for a butcher?

👀 🚗🛻🚐 Also, I still have several folks who are looking for a great deal on a vehicle. FYI, we are a 501-C-3 non-profit, so we can accept vehicle donations.... you get a tax deduction & we give the homeless the vehicle.

At Wingard Home for the homeless, we have several hard working folks who are ready for that BIG next step into a vehicle.
WE NEED YOUR HELP FOR THE NEXT STEP.

Our folks have been faithful to get a job and work to save their money so they can get on their feet. One of the steps and getting on their feet is to be able to purchase a car, provide insurance, and get a tag. We have several who have saved a little money toward that purchase.

PLEASE, if you have a car for sale or know someone who does, let’s make a deal and get these folks mobile so they can move to the next step …getting a place to live.

At Wingard Home, we have a very successful program, but it all depends on your participation and help. It also depends on your prayers and spreading the word.

So, let me pick your brains for a moment...I am in search of any volunteer opportunities or Summer employment for 5 teens who have moved in here at Wingard. Their Moms are looking for jobs as well. I know that there must be some summer programs in the city of Jackson so I need help searching.

Please send me a text message or post on the page so that I can plug them in ASAP...there is nothing worse than bored teens. There are two males (14 & 18) and three females (15, 15, & 17). Please help me find something for them.

Present needs at our ministry are:

kitchen trash bags (white)
brooms & mops
floor cleaner
new pillows
towels & face cloths
cleaning vinegar

ramen noodles
microwave popcorn

We highly recommend these wonderful folks! They are hard-working, honest, professionals who take pride in a job well done! These men are like asphalt artists on those machines. It was amazing watching them create the perfect space for our basketball court and parking area for our folks at Wingard Home Ministry campus in inner-city Jackson. What an incredible blessing to know that people still care about doing the best job possible.

For the past couple of days, Mr. Raymond McKinion and Cleo's Asphalt Paving Co. has been at Wingard Home working some miracles on our ministry campus parking area and play area. We now have a safe, smooth parking area and a beautiful basketball court!
Y'all, I highly recommend these wonderful folks! They are hard-working, honest, professionals who take pride in a job well done! These men are like asphalt sculptors on those machines. It was amazing watching them create the perfect space for a basketball court and parking area for our folks at Wingard Home Ministry campus in inner-city Jackson. What an incredible blessing to know that people still care about quality work.

ISO Summer programs for children that don't cost a fortune! Case scenario from Wingard Home Ministry:
Mother of 3 just got her children back with her, enrolled them in school (with after school care) but she is making it happen (without vouchers... because they won't qualify her), she found a great job from 7-5 weekdays. Now, she may be forced to quit her job and find something else because the summer program she chose lets out at 4 and she gets off at 5.
THIS IS SO CRAZY! We have a woman who wants to work and take care of her children, we even gave her a car so she can be mobile.

Operation Shoestring won't return her calls, some of the programs would take her children ...and her whole check as well. She is still trying to get a daycare voucher, but nothing yet. She enrolled them in We Will Go Summer camps but they have to be picked up by 4 and she can't pick them up until 5:30!

Please, please help me find a summer program for these babies (all school age) that will go to 5:30 or 6:00 and will not take all her paycheck. I know she loves her job so I don't want her to have to quit. There has to be someone out there who can help us to help her until school starts back up. ...and will somebody please join me praying for the Department of Human Services Child Care System!
